Ben Van Bonn As a long-term Aldous Harding fanatic, this is where I would recommend starting. Good luck converting people with Swell Does the Skull.

Tomasz Majcher for children's choir Favorite track: It’s Today Again.
    mrrockitt thumbnail
mrrockitt Beautiful, soulful album. Sweet and melodic tunes and memorable choruses. Favorite track: We Don’t Need Them.
    Doobins The Cat thumbnail
Doobins The Cat Imagine a supergroup with Ian McNabb, Jeff Buckley, Josh Rouse all arranged by Brian Wilson. A heart rending beautifully composed and produced album of such resonance and power it brings back bittersweet memories and endless soaring English days when we were young, reckless and in love. Sentimental without being sickly nostalgic without being a pastiche surely a contender for album of the year. Soothe your soul and shed a happy tear to this. Favorite track: Nothing To Be Done.

    Roger Hartley thumbnail
Roger Hartley This is really terrific. Saw them with Rolling Blackouts in Washington DC years ago and just am a fan. Favorite track: Squid.
    Linda Linda Linda thumbnail
Linda Linda Linda Gritty and authentic, their sound reaches down to lift up their listeners. Romy’s lyrics transcend murky depths that resonate in the void and create light that can’t be extinguished. Raw passion elevates, breaks down, puts back together, and collectively connects us to something unspeakably profound. For a while things make sense. Favourite tracks are impossible to settle on as newness keeps being gleaned. Layers upon endless layers of majesty. Favorite track: Common Ground.

    Ursula's Crow thumbnail
Ursula's Crow It's the spirit behind the music as much as the music itself. I'm old enough to remember the 80s skiffle revival: The Men They Couldn't Hang at The Dublin Castle and Martin at The Town and Country Club - there was drink taken, I believe!
    Nick Hall thumbnail
Nick Hall It reminds me of when my wife & I met.

That and the fact that it's one of the best albums ever made Favorite track: Piece Of The Cake.
    ecosharon9 thumbnail
ecosharon9 Boat to Bolivia always makes me smile - no need to say any more than that. To me it's a timeless classic - just love it thank you 🙏💚💚 Favorite track: Boat To Bolivia.
    Ian Longshaw thumbnail
Ian Longshaw This album was and still is one of my favourites from the 1980s.

I originally bought it on vinyl and also the single releases. It was recommended to me by my brother, after buying the Crocodile Cryer single.

Great album, great music , great story telling.

To me it’s a wonderful opus that is heavy in melody and storytelling lyrics, while light in attitude.

Martin Stephenson has a wonderful voice that enriches every song.
    Favorite track: Crocodile Cryer.
