MarkOhe Fascinating to hear Raymond's music from 10 or so years ago. Clearly it's evolved and she's reaching new heights with every release, but at the same time she seems to have arrived among us fully-formed. No one I'm aware of is doing anything even close to what Raymond achieves with her guitar. Stunning.

dulcimerboy well! I was listening to Fahey when it was neither profitable nor popular. I gave up and chose another musical path but it's great to see someone succeeding at it.

Paco Expressive and atmospheric. I prefer the more 'primitive' sound on this recording to the brighter, busier production of the later albums. Favorite track: Sack 'Em Up, Parts I & II.

lbcjeff I have loved Shirle's voice and bass playing since I first heard her in her band, Gerty. I'm a huge fan of her other bands, Free Electric State and Small Apartments. She is an absolute gem of a front woman and has one of my favorite voices to listen to. This recording is an alternate version of the song. She's also recorded a rock version with Small Apartments. Favorite track: Big Summer Moon.
