Seeing The Big Tusk live was a resurrective experience: meshing free improvisation, jazz, electronica, post-rock and cinematic soundtracks, I was reminded of Miles Davis, Jon Hassel, Ennio Morricone and David Sylvian and many more. When you're as old and jaded as I am and music of the 21st century screams 'This has been done before,' The Big Tusk come along and offer something timeless yet contemporary. Sublime.
