Cassiopiea music should not be this much fun Favorite track: Death With Dishonor.
    Nocturnal Egg (Jordan) thumbnail
Nocturnal Egg (Jordan) I Saw The World End (Hangman's Hymn MMXXV) a tout pour plaire. Favorite track: The Memories As A Sinner.
    Ippocalyptica thumbnail
Ippocalyptica You might already own the original 2007 release of the zany, avant-garde, and wonderful Hangman’s Hymn, and be thinking to yourself, “Why would I need a 2025 re-recording of Sigh’s second or first-best album? How different can it be?” Friends, let me assure you that this is not merely a more “modern” sounding and unnecessary remaster; no, this features much better drumming, sharper fretwork, and yes, richer and clearer production values that lend much-deserved oomph. Better than the original!
    rvss.eel thumbnail
rvss.eel I love Sigh and was disappointed to see this as the next release. Hangman's Hymn is already amazing. But, wow, this is good, and I'm listening to it like it's totally new. The drums hit harder and faster, the strings pack much more of a punch. And the insanity, already present in the original, hasn't been dimmed at all, only ramped up. It still sounds like a mad conductor on vocals, leading his band through joyous hell. I'm even breaking my own rule here to say...

This is my #2 album of 2025. Favorite track: Salvation In Flame.

hellbendervinyl Heck yeah Defeated Sanity! The vinyl pressing for this record was lovingly handled by Hellbender Vinyl (hellbendervinyl.com) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Put it on your turntable and let it ride! Favorite track: Into The Soil.
    Dmitry Nevozhay thumbnail
Dmitry Nevozhay Its kinda a split between two Defeated Sanities, the first half is traditional TBDM, while the second is prog/tech OSDM like Atheist/Cynic with complexity level of Watchtower and guest vocalist Max Phelps (ex Cynic, Exist, Wait, Death To All). And i love both, (but prefer second, because its too rare nowdays). Favorite track: The Quest For Non-Existence.

Philip David Morgan Roland Klick's cult western «Deadlock» is just as much CAN's calling card to me as it is Klick's. That said, this is a fascinating overview of the band's contributions to the edgy side of German cinema. Favorite track: Deadlock (Instrumental Title Melody From The Movie Deadlock).

Was Ist Das? Timeless classic, love getting Damo & Malcom repeatedly back to back. Leaves you completley unable to choose between them. Favorite track: Mother Sky (From The Movie Deep End).

vladlena408 The beafy and noisy sound ahead of its time. This album is the epiphany of psychedelic noise-rock at its finest. Favorite track: 造花の原野_1976 Wilderness of False Flowers_1976.
    Robert Bloemkolk thumbnail
Robert Bloemkolk A lot of listeners mention the sound quality which is fine because earlier releases sounded too much like crappy bootlegs. Well, Les Rallizes are an outer space punk psychedelic garage band so I guess they are supposed to sound crappy. Anyway, hope some money goes to the musicians. Favorite track: 夜、暗殺者の夜 The Night, Assassin’s Night.
    yakuzadog14 thumbnail
yakuzadog14 Absolutely wonderful live set from these guys! I would say that this performance is the one that reminds me most of Yura Yura Teikoku. The production is superb (though I wish that the rhythm guitar was louder) and they did an awesome job of restoring this old bootleg. A suitably incandescent Flames of Ice and the ethereal Saw The Night In Your Eyes are just a few of the highlights of this amazing recording. I give this my highest recommendation! Might be the live album of the year for 2025! Favorite track: イビスキュスの花 或いは満ち足りた死 Hibiscus Flower otherwise Dying Satisfied.
