Some very interesting & definitely cavernous vocals that feel as though they are coming from beyond the grave & create a lovely atmosphere of decadence & death! Seriously good album, don't sleep on it! Favorite track: Serpentine Echoes.
positronicping Murky black metal that's claustrophobic yet expansive, with the doom and disso-DM twinges adding power to Muerto's poisonous bite. The album overall and Matamoros' vocals in particular sound like a hollow message from the heart of a yawning abyss just before it snaps shut forever. Favorite track: Burning Shadows.
Brent Davis Positronicping is spot on!
The rawness of the vocals communicates so much here.
Highly recommended if you enjoy black metal that wanders from the (left-hand) path to somewhere else...
