This album feels like it was written directly from my own experiences, my journaling, all of the heartache and beauty that comes with becoming your own person, falling in love, and realizing the cruelty of life at times. k1n3k The whole album comes together as an emotion that can hardly be described with words. I feel the lyrics of “The Dark Glow” really resonated with where I am in life and literally brought me to tears. An absolutely amazing album and I highly suggest a good, long listen. janx218 I've been a fan of Allie Goertz for over a decade, but I have to admit when I learned she was recording a NIN cover album, I wasn't sure what to expect. I wondered if there would be a degree of irony involved. But I was blown away by the finished product. Peeled Back is earnest, impeccably-produced, and often downright beautiful. Allie's lilting, delicate voice makes these songs feel brand new and achingly gorgeous in a way that I never could have imagined. I can't recommend it enough.more...
