    bangkokian thumbnail
bangkokian I saw Xmal Deutschland 4 times in the mid eighties while they were supporting The Stranglers. I have waited since the fourth album for Anja to release more music and this new album was worth the very long wait. Voice is still full of menace and along with Manuella Rickers and her distinctive guitar it could be the 80s again. Thanks Anja. Favorite track: Rabenschwarz.
    stevensin thumbnail
    stevensin An absolutely superb album!

My love for Xmal Deutschland has not diminished in the past 43 years and this album proves why.

This release from Anja is a gift us longtime fans never expected, but it is one we will cherish for decades to come.

Looking forward to more! Favorite track: O Wald.

    Choppy Noodles thumbnail
Choppy Noodles Skeletal Family is one of those bands with an impressive, classic discography behind them as the Eternal box set that I bought with this demonstrates. The current singer, Anneka Latta, has an outstanding voice. The band have pushed their sound into a modern sounding, dramatic, emotive, impressive tour de force of great songwriting. I'd argue that this might be Skeletal Family's best album. If I am overshooting it, well, it easily sits amongst their very best work. Favorite track: What Are You Waiting For.
Madame Ravencroft - The Gothic Vampyre Empress (FM 98.5) thumbnail
Madame Ravencroft - The Gothic Vampyre Empress (FM 98.5) Considered one of the greatest comebacks in Gothic music. The Skeletal Family hath returned like a banshee's scream with a new Darkwave style adding & improving upon their original 80's presentation in Goth's minds. A wise resurrection that works well for them! They HAVE caught Madame Ravencroft's eye to ensure they're heard on my FM Gothic radio show 'The Darkside'. I'd love to interview them. Congrats to the band for dusting themselves off and getting back into the groove BIG TIME! Favorite track: Beautiful Disaster.

deeper So great to hear something new from the Lorries after all this time! I really like the intensity of this release, and that touch of unruliness that runs through it. Just miss a bit of that raw edge from the early days. Favorite track: Driving Black (Ding's Remix).

Favorite track: Shake it.

Bad Korea PiL used to be one of my favorite bands until Lydon jumped the shark & decided to go full MAGA troll.

doesn't matter, Wobble & Levene were the sould of the band. it's exciting to ba able to hear these songs with a new approach & without the guilt of hearing the deranged rantings of their former bandmate. Favorite track: Swan Lake.
