Woodrow No other album I have listened to has ever managed to be as engrossing AND terrifying as this one. This one is not playing around, it is emotional labor to get through, and it is amazing. Favorite track: Receive.

bcb723 It's scary. Each time I hear this album one of two things usually happens afterward: I go on a Neurosis binge or I go on a Swans binge. It's the perfect gateway drug into both of their worlds. Jarboe's performance is terrifyingly intense and pushes Neurosis into new areas of experimentation. It's just so gracefully good. Those that know, know. You know? Greatest moment... Alexander Pugachev Archspire successfully retained their extremely technical, yet catchy, sound from the previous album. Favorite track: Remote Tumour Seeker.

coda In my mind one of, if not the greatest tech-death albums ever made. Not only are the riffs addictively brutal and technical, they throw a curveball by incorporating classical and orchestral melodies and phrases. Extremely hard to pick a favourite, I could listen to any one of them all day. Super excited to see these guys in April. Favorite track: A.U.M..
