Skeletá and Impera both suffer from the same issue: they’re one-note, bland, and so buried in 80s metal worship that nothing truly stands out. These two albums even make Prequelle look like S-tier material, and it clearly isn’t. Tobias has lost the plot and cashed in; Ghost has shifted from being a band with personality to a hollow institution. The sinister edge is gone, the uniqueness stripped away, and what’s left is little more than redundant drivel.
