Casey_Keaton Lyrics as always tell a story that glows bright. Excited for whatever comes in the future.
    black_gaze thumbnail
black_gaze soundtrack for fading days, a lane of strings leading ever deeper into a maze of melodies, darker - strange thing to say about such a brilliant piece
    Jeff Aldridge thumbnail
Jeff Aldridge Damn this is fantastic ! Chelsea never disappoints. She is an amazing guitarist , songwriter and one of the best singers out there. A rare combo these days. You can tell she feels her songs ! The artistry is authentic. Hopefully a whole album is coming. These 2 new tracks are top level.
    Ippocalyptica thumbnail
Ippocalyptica I do not often buy singles, but there are times when it must be done. The simultaneous release of Chelsea Wolfe’s two latest singles (this and Death Is Not The End) is such an occasion. I cannot say for sure if these tracks tell the whole story about the direction of her next full-length album, but if so, I am here for it because I honestly did not know where she could have gone after her stunning return to form in She Reaches Out, except in a more minimalist direction. Very promising material!

The Pedalboard Orchestra Such an emotional and powerful song. I can't wait for the whole album. This sounds so promising. Had to buy the single to get along until the album release.
    Nickie Harte Kelly thumbnail
Nickie Harte Kelly Alt-rocker Chelsea Wolfe has released two singles (hopefully ahead of another full release), this one, and “The Dark.” I love the relentless build of this one, beginning in a whisper and concluding with an impassioned insistence.

mbx220 A great shoegaze album - we've been seeing a wonderful resergence of shoegaze over the past few years, and great albums like this one and their follow-ups. This album in particular is very strong, and has influences all over that you can hear. It's some great 'gaze. Favorite track: Shallow Breath.
    johannes_paulides thumbnail
johannes_paulides This is the introduction to Shoegaze I needed, and is the reason why I now love Shoegaze. Favorite track: Aurora.
    chernobyltrainwreck thumbnail
chernobyltrainwreck Last night I was lucky enough to catch them live in Vancouver. Took me back to the 90's. Shades of post-rock, dips and swims with dream pop, and all the navel gazing you could ever wish. All the greats appear in their sound from old to new. Touches of Whirr, My Bloody Valentine, The Rose Chronicles, Lush. All while still being fresh and new. Cheers for the memories and thanks for the albums. Hope to see you again sooner than later! Favorite track: Aid and Abet.

    Agent K thumbnail
Agent K From the Post-Reformation of TWDY comes this tremendous new project Consisting of Founding members Jeremy Galindo & Raymond Brown.
If you were ever wanting a return to Early TWDY soundscapes; this is your ticket then.
This set harkens back the Early Glory Days of TWDY while remaining a completely compelling & original effort.
From "The Elder" through "Understated" are the best tracks on this magnificent debut & return to former majestic heights. Favorite track: Currents.
    Michael Vickers thumbnail
Michael Vickers So lucky to have heard a couple of these songs live last week when I saw TWDY on tour.

An absolutely exquisite record...new, different but familiar. You still get the sense of the TWDY edge, but shrouded in a Hammock-esque ambience.

So beautiful, so welcome. Favorite track: The Elder.
    Alice M. thumbnail
Alice M. I was wondering why that sounded so nice, then read that these are This Will Destroy You guys. Makes sense.

Easy to listen to, but quite deep.

    NegativeTyp0 thumbnail
NegativeTyp0 So much to love about this album! Juggernaut riffs, heartfelt yet abrasive emotion, and a lyrical depth that's as good as any band in the post-hardcore scene. It's hard to even pin down their sound, to be honest. Just fucking great art. Favorite track: Violet Sun.
    Darknight thumbnail
Darknight From Sheffield comes Hidden Mothers with their emotional audio wrecking ball. Erosion/Avulsion has it all,it's heavy, atmospheric, bleak and so dark,it's an amazing album. Favorite track: Defanged.
    Adam Firth thumbnail
Adam Firth This album has been very much worth the wait.

An emotionally bruising, beautiful and heavy listen, the sublime production on Erosion / Avulsiom lets the individual talents of each member radiate with clarity.

The Grey is one of the best tracks you're likely to hear all year. Favorite track: The Grey.
