January99th Dementia: the album Favorite track: Iconic Portraits Mutilated During the Spanish Civil War.
    roznockcocaep thumbnail
roznockcocaep The sound of the piano feeling slightly detuned, the atmospheric and intimate nature of the composing.. It's a beautiful and haunting project that really takes me to a solemn, contemplative mindset. It's like mindfulness in musical form. Favorite track: Iconic Portraits Mutilated During the Spanish Civil War.
    Charlie Moonbeam thumbnail
Charlie Moonbeam John Carroll Kirby emits a sensitivity that is so striking and absorbing.

    This is another masterful record.

magoski The children heard it first.

    not the towers
    not the drones

    the children
heard it first as a tone
    in the dust

    like a radio left on
    in another room

    someone says
    the sea is still there

    behind the concrete

    someone says
    the future exists

    but only in fragments

    a kite
    caught on broken wire

    moves

    though there is no wind

    the music repeats:

    life continues

    the city replies:

    we will see

    children listening

    to a frequency
that does not belong to war

nimesay the aliveness of each composition and rich texture is making me entirely rethink our current reliance on audio editing software for creating deeply affecting electronic music. this + the self-titled are going to stick with me for a long time. Favorite track: II A2.
    ghosttropics thumbnail
ghosttropics High tech bass rollers that move with an unstoppable inertia like a ship tumbling through space towards the heart of a dark star.
    ericsublett thumbnail
ericsublett Love this album, fractal dubby IDM-adjacent & very pleasant in the ears Favorite track: II B1.

    Smile I say
    Write and write and write
    All that you want
    just do not forget
    To hold close those you
    love
And know that alll that you do
    all that you create
    All that you say
    All that you run away
    From is
    All that you are
    But a reflection of forever
and the space we all share
    We are forever together
    and
    Aways Apart

Neglectsound Like watching a mountain side covered in mist while a steady sheet of rain trickles down over your head during a humid summer. Lost in the grand smoke of reverb chambers. Favorite track: 8000 dub.
    Finn of Tomland thumbnail
Finn of Tomland Found this epic nice slow Dub gem 12" over at lovely Hard Wax and did my shopping, but to save it from wear and tear i had to have the DL of it too.
This is some serious deep Dub that oozes of Rhythm & Sound / Chain Reaction influences and it has been produced to perfection.
And if you wonder how slow it is, lets just say that it sounds like it's about 10 spliffs later into production and leave it at that...
    A must have gem.
    ghosttropics thumbnail
ghosttropics Maybe my favourite thing from Kino Disk so far. The textures on offer here are so substantial I feel like I can practically run my fingers through them, the steady pulses of dubby bass less so the focus, more so serving as a tangible landscape for the ghostly flutters and whispers to drift through. Minimal and patient, yet hyper focused in execution and detail.

    Wookito thumbnail
Wookito This is deep shit terrain, a most beautiful masterpiece that transports you to other realms where you are asked to feel the truth of who you are. The music dissolves habitual nervous tensions and stories and takes you into the mystery. I'm left with questions and a desire to keep listening again and again. Also, check out my album Purple Mountain by Robot Teeth, the second last track A Sharp Minor might appeal to those who like this music. with love.
    JackG thumbnail
JackG Another richly satisfying and enchanting release from Scott Morgan aka Loscil. A striking addition to the canon. The rocking, nautical feeling of 'Kamouraska' is classic Loscil, the field recordings a welcome addition. Favorite track: Kamouraska.
    Gabi thumbnail
Gabi I went to the LOSCIL & LAWRENCE ENGLISH concert at the CONDEDUQUE contemporary culture center in Madrid. I enjoyed it a lot. Colours Of Air and now Umbel are great. A greeting from Spain. Favorite track: Dusk Gale.
