Nujumi These recordings have a beautiful simplicity both in their song forms and the way the record production embodies this. There is a sort of open honesty that comes through, and I enjoy that the record does not really hold back from exploring very unique and creative ways in which to express feeling and meaning, not only in the words, but in the very texture of the recording itself. A joyous listen.

    harrug thumbnail
harrug The Sophtware Slump is truly a one-of-a-kind album, and "..... on a wooden piano" proves that is because at it's core, the songs are beautiful. Jason's performances here are stunning.

triode3 A fascinating album indeed. The drummer seems to play like a cross between Alex VH and a trained drummer like Aaron Comess, at the same time the name itself Platter Base must be Constructed of Moon rock pays ode to the ludicrous but intangible reach of hifi to get more and more to the utmost extremes of diminishing returns from equipment backdropped against the desire to be moved by the pure naked sounds of emotion transmogrified as music.

Gallery Just when you think, as Gen X’er, that there will never be great post hardcore bands like Fugazi again, you hear a band like Plaster Head that channels the same energy and intensity paralleled with elevated musicality and you think to yourself… the kids are gonna be alright. Favorite track: The Cult is a Work in Progress.

Scorber23 nice! bought this on a whim and so glad that I did! can't wait for the record to come in the mail, this is gonna sound super sweet in my room. I have both the Ty Sgl/Wht Fence collab records and now this is my 1st solo White Fence record.
A friend of mine from my past (now deceased) turned me onto White Fence years ago, he had the yellow record with doodle drawings on the cover. I am loving the vibe and sounds on this new one Orange. Favorite track: That's Where The Money Goes (Seen From The Celestial Realm).
    chris thumbnail
chris Unread Books is a hazy summer dream of a memory I once had, or didn't. In that sun speckled universe things exist as they are, and as they aren't. My heart is full, and my arms are empty. Tears flow, and yet my eyes are dry. I've lost and found love never beginning or ending, just being. Favorite track: Unread Books.
    saishigo thumbnail
saishigo I wanted this to be stranger, more textured or gnarled, like the last (and, I suppose, final) Drinks album. But Tim thought otherwise and I can't hold this against him. Love the LP cover though. Vampire lounging on the doorstep. Half-alive. Favorite track: Unread Books.
