mistertyler AmAnSet occupies a very special place in my heart. I will eternally sing the praises of this band. Not enough can be said about how great this music is. From my 20s to my 40s, consistently amazing. Thank you Andrew Kenny and crew. A fan forever.

onesterenko Amazing! and keeps getting better. I love the infinite variety of timbres, especially in The drop and the sea.
    mazur2103 thumbnail
mazur2103 Mahakala: when switching from 2 to 3 tracks I hear crackling noises (wav and aiff files). Maybe it's because the first two tracks are 48kHz and the third is 44.1kHz; why?
    And the music great!
    jiristepan thumbnail
jiristepan Zoh Amba was releasing one epochal record after another. And I would just like to repeat that they are all great, they all touch me deeply, and I find worlds in every note and silence like I haven't in a long time. To speak only of walking in Ayler's footsteps would be disrespectful, this is a journey of its own that I hope to follow for a long time to come.

Umbriel One of the most painful albums I have listened to. Every work from Xiu Xiu have the power to affect my emotions, but this one. Damn, the recovery was hard
    jejejejjenna thumbnail
jejejejjenna Angela’s vocal performances shook me and stays with me. Xiu xiu for life Favorite track: Esquerita, Little Richard.
    Em thumbnail
Em One of the scariest albums I've heard. The drunk commentary made me respect this album a lot more than I already had. The sound of this one I always found really inspiring since I heard it, but I hadn't been as emotionally hit by this album's lyrical content until just as of recent. A powerful album yet a very horrific and hopeless one. Favorite track: Tarsier, Tarsier, Tarsier, Tarsier.

    iamsimonmas thumbnail
iamsimonmas really mellow, sweet, hypnotic, and very lively at the same time, if it makes sense. i'm honestly very impressed. Favorite track: Pai Xangô.
    Chat-verre thumbnail
Chat-verre I have been several times in Belém and around in the delta of the Amazon & Tocantins rivers, went to carimbó little festivals in the middle of Marajó Island, taking analog photos of these afro-delta traditions, between 2000-2010 ... this release is huge, I pay homage to Samy Ben Redjeb for suceeding such a project! I hope one day Analog goes for French Guyana, Martinique & Guadeloupe vintage sounds. These CARIMBÓ-SIRIA & candomblé songs are FANTASTIC !

PlayItLoud!!! Can't help it, I'm hooked to the bone to this funky munky. The more I listen to it- read about it- & watch it, the better it gets. Where will this end? I'm a junky, in desperate need of every shot I can get of this stuff. This link will show you a mini-docu which gives a great inside of who he is and what he does. Enjoy!

magoski There's a smile of something good
    something
    very good. Coming. Maybe not
    Don't over think it
Just let it be in you
for the time that you're willing to give
maybe long enough to let the baseline wrap itself
    all around
    that very thought
and then a well placed A Minor and a briush that lightly ticks
    plays ... pounces ...
    Listen all you w
    (scary) ant.
    Just try and eat dinner
    Scat!
    and just be grateful
you got a bit of this hip gab
    to dab your gaze
    Jonathan Pryor thumbnail
Jonathan Pryor I'm just beginning to collect his work. I WILL have it all!
    Giles thumbnail
Giles The patience, restraint, clarity, and connectedness of this trio is on another level. Enormous flows of musical invention and originality, yet it's still "just" a beautiful jazz piano trio record. Sorey is creating music that's too deep to explain, long may he continue to mine his special vein of magic
    walkerkevinf thumbnail
walkerkevinf Perfect realization of what Sorey’s been doing with his radical-rearranging trio concept. A masterpiece. I think The Susceptible Now will be remembered as one of the best albums of the 2020s. It’s one of those records that feels like you’ve been on a profound journey every time you listen to it, which is a gift to us in any genre.
