    bone.shivers thumbnail
bone.shivers Hank Wood and the Hammerheads have been a part of my musical journey since I was a young buck, and I am so thankful to see them continue to put out absolutely fantastic music to this day. This new album has a much cleaner flow to it, rather than the more noise punk they created before. Its a great glow up, up the punx! Favorite track: Use Me.

Gavin Hellyer Sheer, elegant and near soporific beauty from the excellent Sarah. Can't wait for the new album in September. Favorite track: Cadence I.
    Bohemian Square thumbnail
Bohemian Square This was the release I listened to the most in 2020 - in the chaos of the year, this music was like placing a weighted blanket on my brain. I love all of her music (I drove 12 hours to see her in 2019, back when one could do such things) & am starting 2021 right now by listening to another album of hers for the prestigious first listen of the new year, but these mellotron deconstructions will take me back to a particular time, and of the timelessness within.

Time Wick This album is really good for a day when you take too many coffees down the hatch, spend the afternoon writing weird tweets about Where's Waldo, and only have 20 dollars to spend on food/beer for 10 days. Good investment Favorite track: Skin thrashers.

Jordan Oakley This is the ultimate Lassie collection! The best post-punk by the best people. Playing with them in Leipzig and Berlin in early 2020 are some of my most cherished live music memories! Favorite track: QT Enhancer.
    Beefarrito thumbnail
Beefarrito This is a fun fuzzy ride without a seat belt. Favorite track: Zegway Cop.
    Lars Gotrich thumbnail
Lars Gotrich Zippy, snotty, herky-jerky synth-punk outta Leipzeig. Lassie features members of the very excellent post-punk band Maraudeur (I think) and shares a blitzed energy, but skews New Wave underground. www.vikingschoice.org/archive/vikings-choice-guide-to-bandcamp-friday-aug-2021/ Favorite track: Modern Vacation.
    billymarsh97 thumbnail
billymarsh97 Looking forward to what else this band puts out! Favorite track: Phonecalls On My Deathbed.
