Lemon Rind This one seemed to fly under the radar a bit but I think it's her best so far. (i.e. really good)
    DJ Joey Santos thumbnail
DJ Joey Santos One of my favorite indie rock albums in 2025. Past Lives is a highlight, but the entire album is a fantastic listen start to finish. Favorite track: Past Lives (feat. Hayley Williams).
    cai thumbnail
cai I have a pavlovian response to Jim Adkins' voice where I feel the overwhelming need to stare forlornly out of the passenger-side window of a moving car.

Flawless writing & production across the whole album. Favorite track: Float (feat. Jim Adkins).

    Elam Blackman thumbnail
Elam Blackman Steve is a treasure. With a sureness and patience unmatched. He’s been improving my life since I rolled into the Kerrville Folk Festival over 20 years ago. On my Mount Rushmore of song. You have to see him live at the fireside. The timber of his voice cannot be captured. However good you think it is it’s more powerful in person.
    ant_lovesmusic thumbnail
ant_lovesmusic Steve Fisher's voice has the sweet melody of nostalgia in it that reminds me of my grandfather. I didn't know him for long before he passed away, and I can't remember his voice, but I'd like to remember it as Steve's. He strums his guitar so kindly, and is a wonderful example of a true professional. Favorite track: I'm Already There.

lennylmns "Is it okay if I'm close?" Favorite track: Anything.

    Jan Ramol thumbnail
Jan Ramol Unique artist, standing out in the flood. Just excellent. Every track is interesting and different. It’s so good to hear a full album released at this level of detail and variety, rather than just a vessel for singles filled with repetitive, generic tracks. New fan acquired. Thank you! Favorite track: Y Gath.
    sowards thumbnail
sowards Super talent! Great melodies; always interesting. Music is always well done; cool guitar riffs and synths. There's sincerity in there. She cares. It shows. Excellent creative choices. Her music conjures up a mood and atmosphere wonderful to get lost in.
And of course, it doesn't hurt that she's gorgeous.

    a_woolsey thumbnail
a_woolsey absurd combination of the mundane and the sacred. I love the story telling and the bass of krgovich's vocals laid over the instrumentation.
    Favorite track: Bridget.
    TheSlowMusicMovement thumbnail
TheSlowMusicMovement Dream teams don't always deliver, but TSMM faves Shabason, Krgovich & Sage have created something greater than the sum of their parts after convening at Sage's new Colorado barn studio. The talent & respect is palpable as Shabason & Sage playfully & succinctly weave new age noodles into oddball ethereal tapestries that elevate Krgovich's wry, twinkled eyed observations & reminiscences into an ambient sloth-pop masterpiece.
    Rutger Zuydervelt (Machinefabriek) thumbnail
Rutger Zuydervelt (Machinefabriek) Incredibly smooth and beautiful. It even has a Low cover that trumps the original. So yes, this is a stunner.

    tsim8 12 gems
each one so different from the other, all of them powerful, authentic, deeply emotional
an album that haunted me all through the summer.
    i simply adore it
from the cover till the last note.

    Favorite track: Colorblind.
    mclose thumbnail
mclose The instrumentation, lyrics and production are all exceptional. The album is a little window into Julia, Pascal and Marwan’s world, and I find myself listening over and over getting lost in it. Thank you all for sharing this music and the stories with the world.
    Favorite track: Dust Bunnies.
    Timo Mitchell thumbnail
Timo Mitchell Love the quiet/loud dynamic. Favorite track: Poison.
    Schuyler Kitchin thumbnail
Schuyler Kitchin The anguish of this album is palpable throughout, lyrically and in the vastness/intensity of the shoegazey sound. Art born out of a very real experience of and fear of death, yet with glimmers of hope within. Thank you for this, Julia, Pascal, and Marwan. Favorite track: Dust Bunnies.

  1. 15th Anniversary Concert

    imijen thumbnail
imijen The consistency in quality from Ichiko as a musician over the years is outstanding, and this one is yet another live album I'd rank near the top of all her works overall. The unique offering is the appearance of Ichiko's mentor Anmi Yamada. About halfway through the 18 track run, Yamada performs 2 solo tracks, before joining Aoba for 4 more tracks as a duo collaboration. This adds an altogether different feel to the atmosphere, the harmonies in 'Amatsubu' being perhaps the best example of this. Favorite track: Amatsubu - live at Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall, Tokyo, 2025.
    Masaman thumbnail
    Masaman 青葉市子様
Please keep singing your truths. Happy 15th anniversary to you and us. How wonderful to be living in this time.

Favorite track: We the survivors - live at Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall, Tokyo, 2025.
    Payton Collier thumbnail
Payton Collier Perhaps no one is as important as Ichiko Aoba currently; elements of folk, ambient and environmental music collide to create something harrowingly unique. What a gift. Favorite track: Orphaned rain - live at Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall, Tokyo, 2025.
