Saffron Robe This is a masterwork: a musical adventure through a multi-layered labyrinth of light and heavy sounds, creating chiaroscuro as masterfully as Caravaggio.

  3. The Fold
    by Antinoë
    supported by
    Samuel Péquignot thumbnail
Samuel Péquignot This wonderful album released at the end of last year never ceases to fascinate me... The piano, the voice, the songwriting and the arrangements give this darkness a universality of great beauty. All Baudelairean minds who are not afraid to come out of their social armor will be touched by her (very) inspired and delicate spleen. The term masterpiece is often overused but is quite appropriate here. Favorite track: The Devil's Voice.
    Joe Farrell thumbnail
Joe Farrell "The Fold" is a masterpiece. Antinoë summons more atmosphere and more emotion with little more than her piano and her richly layered vocals than most songwriters can dream of even with a much larger arsenal. It is darkly beautiful, and wonderfully immersive. Dozens of listens have done nothing to dim its luster. It is my favorite release of 2025. Not to be missed. Favorite track: The Devil's Voice.

  4. Inpariquipê
    by Kaatayra
    supported by
    Urso X thumbnail
Urso X Following the *brilliant* História, Inpariquipê feels a bit like the lost middle child in Kaatayra’s stellar discography. Not due to a lack of quality — as always, that’s here in spades — but because it moves at light speed away from traditional black metal conventions toward a more world/folk percussion-based ambience reminiscent of Still Life (Talking)-era Pat Metheny Group. (No kidding!) Anyway, like all of Caio Lemos’s work, this is nothing short of transcendent. Very highly recommended! Favorite track: Ãráiãsaiê.
    Bummer thumbnail
Bummer It's hypnotic, forceful, and even sweet. Scratches the same itch Geryon and Botanist do with a quieter intensity.
    Favorite track: Dundararaiê.
    Treebaum thumbnail
Treebaum Totally floored by how uncompromisingly good this is. Who would have thought that Brazilian folk music and atmospheric black metal could blend into something so cohesively wonderful. Do yourself a profound favor and check this one out.

mysticwolf75 This is my favorite Martin Sturtzer album so far. Very sublime. I have it as part of my sleep playlist because it is very easy to drift off to this one.
    pf22 thumbnail
pf22 Martin's provided something for everyone with this fantastic release. “Submerged” is a slowly morphing purely ambient track – no sequencers – with a decidedly “organic” feel, subtly reminiscent of Steve Roach's "Possible Planet." If you like that then I'd definitely recommend this and vice versa. “Aurora” starts with a beautifully drifting, spacey ambient intro, and at 05:34 Martin’s signature, gently hypnotic sequencers fade-in, and carry you to the end of the track; as I said, fantastic!
    volgab5673 thumbnail
volgab5673 The title track Submerged is a wonderful relaxing Longtrack. Thank you Martin for your music! Favorite track: Submerged.

georgie77 What an amazing journey it has been, this is the crescendo to King Dude. The recordings are crisp, the song structures are colorful, and the lyrics are brilliant. I can't wait to hear what the future holds. King Dude is Dead, Long Live, King Dude!!! Favorite track: Sweet Death (feat. Shannon F.).
