    dreadnoughthoax thumbnail
dreadnoughthoax The authenticity of Will Johnson is far beyond average. Favorite track: The Conductor Calls.
    Trace Reddell thumbnail
Trace Reddell Amazingly delicate with just enough extra crunch, like a cool intersection of Talk Talk and Neil Young w/ Crazy Horse. Favorite track: Along The Runner (No Ordinary Crown).
    rob_baker thumbnail
rob_baker Highly accomplished from start to finish. Beautiful, complex, and absorbing. Favorite track: Sinker, Sinking.

    novoidn thumbnail
novoidn This Album is just insane and has some real weight to it. WTF all around. Love how much space the vocals take up in the mix.
    thevelvetunderdog thumbnail
thevelvetunderdog When I say WEIGHT I mean HEFT and when I say HEFT I mean HEAVY, and when I say HEAVY I mean THIS.
    cypsee thumbnail
cypsee Music for skeletons. A forceful and insistent piece with absolute command of its sonic niche, umbilical is the best Thou release so far. thematically consistent and striking balance between moshy and doomy, once you get past the slightly draggy first track the record opens up into a massively fun and compelling experience. Favorite track: Lonely Vigil.

    by Vile Creature

    trollfi3nd thumbnail
trollfi3nd Trans rage-fueled doom that drags you into the emotional depths and suffocates with a claustrophobic wall of sound. Atmosphere thicker than Venus you can almost swim in these tracks. Favorite track: Harbinger Of Nothing.
    Lavinie Cloutier thumbnail
    Lavinie Cloutier Ça c'est cool!
    JDMP thumbnail
JDMP What a ride! I had the good pleasure of seeing most of this album live at Perpetual Flame Ministries. Crushing, dark, and beautiful.

  5. Tomorrow's Harvest
    by Boards of Canada
    supported by
    helpfulbandit thumbnail
helpfulbandit This was the first BoC album I heard more than a decade ago. it still resonates, still aged very well and is also incredibly nostalgic for me. I remember listening to this for the first time in my cousin's house in Belgium when I came to visit. Impossible for me to pick a favorite track. They all feel so powerful and "correct."
    pacu9 thumbnail
pacu9 Beautiful, but dark. It's like they knew what was coming in the '20s Favorite track: Sundown.
    Obsidian One thumbnail
Obsidian One This was such an anticipated release for me, yet I was caught off guard by how dark it sounded compared to their previous works. At first, there was a sense of disappointment, but as is the case with all their releases, the music takes time to settle. Now, it stands alongside their other great albums: The Campfire Headphase, Geogaddi, and Music Has the Right to Children. The question we all wonder: will they ever release another album? We can only hope. Greatest experimental ambient duo ever.

    katilangille thumbnail

Dark Sines / Taylor Proffitt thumbnail
Dark Sines / Taylor Proffitt so explicitly emotional, overflowing with malaise. I get goosebumps throughout, particularly around 9:00 in Discovenant. Heartbreaking and Inspiring at the same time.
    christopherchild thumbnail
christopherchild A stunning and compelling collection of dark and cinematic ambient pieces. I love the instrumentation, the pace of development, and the subtle underlying compositional logic underneath the brimming chaos. So damn good.
    Justin Reed thumbnail
Justin Reed I really enjoy this album! Thanks for putting it out. Favorite track: Discovenant.

    𝔅𝔩𝔦𝔰𝔰 ॐ 𝔄𝔟𝔶𝔰𝔰 thumbnail
𝔅𝔩𝔦𝔰𝔰 ॐ 𝔄𝔟𝔶𝔰𝔰 The vivid presence of emotion surfaces in the tones of these songs like an audible myth.

Absolutely one of the most peaceful acoustic tracks I've ever heard on here. Favorite track: Fugitive from wisteria filed.
    Edging the Aftertimes thumbnail
Edging the Aftertimes The fires have all burned out, a few people have returned for personal treasures. They wave and smile at me with a slight sadness as I fly overhead. Favorite track: Falling star.
