dj_j_powell Thank you for the great stuff. Next time, I'll play this music for my Arabic guests at my next booking. I am so happy for this. Favorite track: Subhana.
    Karl Grundmann thumbnail
Karl Grundmann Ahmed Ben Ali puts Libya on the map big time. The release showcases the synergies of North African sounds over riddims from further west. Massive joy.

iamsimonmas i put this on last night and told my girlfriend what it was. she went: "oh... this doesn't sound like i expected". and she's right: algeria is not an arab, but i guess most people would expect. this is good music, relaxing, with mediterranean vibes. some of it would sound at home in some italian films from the 1970s. money well spent.

Vik Srinivasan Too many good tracks to pick just one as my favorite (just like volume 1). We are truly lucky to have the opportunity to listen to Ahmed Malek's unreleased works. This is the type of release that makes me feel grateful for a label like Habibi Funk - only in 2024 can we have this type of music at our fingertips :)
