grahamco Vini Reilly and The Durutti Column are sublime.
Returning to this title time and time again, the songs and music from this date are just as beautiful... even more so... than I could remember from my previous listen.

    by Shannon and the Clams
    supported by
    _eyeam_good11 thumbnail
_eyeam_good11 It has depth and range. I had only heard the title track on a radio show and was surprised by the rest of the record. I thought it was going to be kind of rockabilly but they are doing their own thing and its sophisticated and beautiful. Favorite track: All Of My Cryin'.
    hauriant thumbnail
hauriant Shannon Shaw's vocals are like a lighting rod--she comes on and literally I cannot pay attention to anything but her. That timbre!! That being said, Cody Blanchard and Will Sprott's vocals are so good, too, and all of their instrument playing is tight. (See: how my fav track is a Cody Blanchard piece.) Favorite track: In The Hills, In The Pines.

kstatick they have such a unique sound. and their songs have such a groove to them. its impossible not to dance, even when I'm stuck in my chair at work. Favorite track: We Share Our Mothers's Health.
    arcx.soux thumbnail
arcx.soux still one of the best albums ever released: for the track sequencing, for the sound design, for the restraint and probably most of all for the almost lynchian cast of characters and the stories they have to tell. Favorite track: Forest Families.
    Gleanie thumbnail
Gleanie Cold, dark, unnerving electronic music. Less focused and polished than its predecessor, more experimental than ever. A lot of the songs are less vocal-centric, they focus more on atmosphere.
Some of the songs, especially From Off To on feel like direct precursors to the Fever Ray debut.
We Share Our Mother's Health is one of my favorite songs of all time. It sounds like it could fit Deep Cuts, but it's crazier than most things on there. Favorite track: We Share Our Mothers's Health.

frenchythyme I am pumped this 12" available, as soon as I found out I purchased it.

The contrast of dark wave and upbeatness make this album the perfect morning record to drink coffee and figure out the day ahead of you~
    nofatclips thumbnail
nofatclips 1st listen: an instant fave from the 70s, you can feel the struggle between the genius full of inspiration and the need to restrain himself (due to technical constraints I guess) and keep working on the same set of ideas Favorite track: Salamatu.
