  1. Embers of the Dawn
    by Bronze Hall
    supported by
    Harold N’Hiver thumbnail
Harold N’Hiver I keep thinking I’ve got the volume up loud enough, and then a few seconds later, nope, I’ve got to turn in up just a little. And then again… skip all that and CRANK this!

There aren’t enough bands doing Bathory worship, at least not that I’m aware of. So when I hear one doing it this well, I’ll support it 100% of the time.

Stoke the fire, draw your sword, raise it high, and enjoy.
    psychoticreaction thumbnail
psychoticreaction Another wonderful gem of Bathory inspired epic metal. The worthy sequel of Honor and Steel ( one of the best releases of 2025) and this new release is definitely going to be one of my favourite records of 2026. It is the perfect soundtrack to read Kalevala. Keep up the good work my Finnish friend! Favorite track: In Northern Twilight.
    shaz thumbnail
shaz Hail Bronze Hall! Another epic album! Cant wait for the wax! Favorite track: Galloping in the Sunlight's Embrace.

  2. Tempelschlaf
    by The Ruins Of Beverast
    supported by
    Alonewolf thumbnail
Alonewolf I heard one of these tracks on Black Night Meditations (WSCA) who have also played my music. There's a lot of good stuff on that show but this is a really standout album to me.

I can hear so many old & new influences going on but you definitely have a signature sound & vibe.

The atmosphere is amazing. I love how you weren't afraid to mix things a little more distant sounding when it'd be tempting to make it more upfront, especially with the guitar & drums.

Good work! Favorite track: Cathedral of Bleeding Statues.
    sane_kyle thumbnail
sane_kyle Alexander von Meilenwald continues to transport us to a vibrant, textured apocalypse. Leaning relentlessly into the stylistic shift brought about by The Thule Grimoires, Tempelschlaf condenses misanthropic nightmares into another black diadem in the patina-laden crown that is TROB's discography. Favorite track: Cathedral of Bleeding Statues.
    Harold N’Hiver thumbnail
Harold N’Hiver Sometimes when I listen to this album I could swear it’s a fucking Depeche Mode record.
By no means do I mean that as a criticism. (Depeche Mode is amazing.)

As said below, TRoB are really embracing the shift in their sound, and going with it 100%. They’re doing great things with it, too - this is a terrific album.

    Sid thumbnail
Sid Those blast beats in the opening reminded me a bit of 324's Soulwinter. Then it goes into this sludge and groove assault remiscent of mid 90s NYDM.

Reminds me a bit of Cerebral Hemorrhage, Repudilation, and Final Resting Place.
    JDMP thumbnail
JDMP brutal dm with osdm sensibilities (or is it osdm with a penchant for brutal dm?). it is a nice slab of pummeling goodness that absolutely kills at what it does.
    mucuspukerr thumbnail
mucuspukerr Seriously one of the best EPs I've listened to in a long time! I listened to the first song released and instantly pre-ordered the CD! I genuinely looked forward to the full thing and it definitely does not disappoint. Banger after banger this EP is the shit! 10/10

    Wallow Within thumbnail
Wallow Within When you listen to an ultra hard song and think to yourself "Well, that's pretty disgusting music" and then they really crank it up. I just had that nine times in a row. It's so hard at times it just makes me smile. You know they wanted to shock and they surely did. Each song is a hate filled, raw, ultra fast punch in the face. Playing rotten Black Metal sprinkled with some Death influences Goat Torment delivers an outstanding album. I can't believe I discovered them just yet. Favorite track: Bones Aligned.

  2. Lifewoven
    by Dreadnought

    Kadin Wisniewski thumbnail
Kadin Wisniewski A shockingly good debut. This is one of the most unique, original, and impressively ambitious metal albums I've ever heard. I can almost guarantee you've never heard anything quite like Dreadnought.
    c_c_chaos thumbnail
c_c_chaos In a sane world, Dreadnought would be widely recognized as being at the forefront of contemporary music. Lifewoven was but the start of what would become a series of incredibly consistent albums blending complex songwriting, technical proficiency, jazzy sensibilities, clean and harsh vocals, strings, drums, and woodwinds: progressive metal at its best.
    baudelagon thumbnail
baudelagon Univers foisonnant, atmosphères riches et fouillées... La voix, assez dark sur cet album, n'est pas ce que je préfère, mais cela reste un album complexe et somptueux comme on n'en découvre pas tous les jours ! Favorite track: Deluge.

  5. Howls Of Ebb / Khthoniik Cerviiks - With Gangrene Edges/Voiidwarp
    by Iron BoneHead Productions
    supported by
    Dmitry Nevozhay thumbnail
Dmitry Nevozhay The first half is a swang song of Howls of Ebb, super peculiar occult US death metal. Despite i prefer their extraordinary debute work, this is worthy addition to any bizzare metal collection. The second half is kinda Demilich meets Voivod, a brilliant avantgarde blackened death-thrash band from Germany. Excellent release Favorite track: Khthoniik Cerviiks - Spiiral Spiire Stiigmata.
    Theo G thumbnail
Theo G Absolutely mind-bending blackened death metal. can't say I've heard a better split LP! Favorite track: Khthoniik Cerviiks - Spiiral Spiire Stiigmata.
    Christian thumbnail
Christian For reasons unknown to me, this will be the last we'll hear from Howls of Ebb, and it's really solid material. Khthoniik Cerviiks however satisfy but remains unable to surpass Heptaedrone. I think they never will as it is one of the best pieces of death metal in existence. Favorite track: Howls Of Ebb - Babel's Catechism.
