Alice M. While the line-up changes make me a bit sad, after all the legendary Precambrian comprised (I think?) none of the leaving members, so everything remains possible I guess. The first revealed track tends to confirm that, so let’s preorder.
    Ippocalyptica thumbnail
Ippocalyptica Only one original member of The Ocean Collective remains, but it seems that Robin Staps is the one you want left if only one can remain, being the overall driving force behind the band’s sound. They have never misstepped to date, and I do not believe 2026 is the year that The Ocean will evaporate. There is much life yet left!
    ZangaPF thumbnail
ZangaPF I am beyond excited for some more Ocean. I love seeing where Staps goes with his vision, as he never disappoints.
    hellbound22 thumbnail
hellbound22 It`s been a while since I`ve been this exited for an album, and Light Pollution confirmed that The Ocean still got it even after major changes

    E'sPsychedelicBreakfast thumbnail
E'sPsychedelicBreakfast I'm not a fan of comparing artists to other artists, but I mean this in the kindest most respectful way possible, so hear me out!
If you'd let Ton Steine Scherben jam with Molchat Doma I'm sure it might sound somehow like Die Verlierer.

And yet this band is totally unique and brings back the vibe of a bygone time while also being the most refreshing thing I've listened to in ages.

Der berliner Zeitgeist ist Liebe <3 Favorite track: Plastic Life.

  1. Ridiculous And Full Of Blood
    by Julie Christmas
    supported by
    Sarah thumbnail
Sarah Mariner by Cult Of Luna & Julie is one of my favourite albums of all time, I can’t believe it took me this long to check out her solo stuff. Adore every track! Moved beyond words and can’t wait to delve into her other album! Favorite track: End Of The World.
    Ol' Bugs thumbnail
Ol' Bugs There is not a single second wasted across the entire album. Look at this amazing artist lineup!

Julie Christmas has easily the most unique and distinctive vocals I can think of… The way she can twist from a whisper to a throat-gash scream to a banshee wail in shifting octaves, it just sucker punches me right in the esophagus. I can’t wait for the beautiful tick infested polyvinyl chloride disc to blow my speakers.

I have not loved a metal album this much since Times of Grace. Favorite track: The Ash.
    Chis-R thumbnail
Chis-R Holy canoli this album absolutely delivers. Huge tracks, emotionally intense, and Julie's voice continues to go from strength to strength. As someone who is a massive fan of the Mariner collab album, this absolutely hits the spot. Favorite track: End Of The World.

    jlj thumbnail
jlj So tight! Great mix of tracks too; something for everyone! The Masque is steeped in 80s Metallica; love it! Favorite track: The Masque.
    ij13 thumbnail
ij13 For an absolute powerhouse of a sludge band, this entire album is CLEAN!! It's everything you'd expect and want from Monolord, but the sound is more! Favorite track: You Bastard.
    LordRockinghamm thumbnail
LordRockinghamm An absolute banger after a necessary break. The creative juices flow once again - in a river of gnarly heavy fuzz riffs and soaring vocals. Favorite track: Invisible.

FlyingRampantTable Where can we get whatever weed these guys were smoking when they made this album? We all need to know Favorite track: Födweg.
    Romeo's Distress thumbnail
Romeo's Distress Surely an album of the year, if not decade, for anything touching on the domain of post-punk. Varied yet perfectly cohesive- streamlined even- with crisp and warm production, and- that bass! An album that bears repeated listening qua album.. If anything can be considered epochal nowadays, this will be remembered as such. Will purchase again to support the band directly. Axios!
    david thumbnail
david saw them for the first time at the Linz show in march 26 and got to hear it early there. i was blown away by their stage presence and warm but forward sound. i’m just now digging into the earlier projects but i also like the rawer sound of those and especially the collaboration with absolute key as it feels like a synthesis of this later work and the earlier stuff. looking forward to the digital release and whatever is to come after! :)
