    dd63 thumbnail
dd63 This album does a great job of capturing the joy and the energy of a live Hurray for the Riff Raff performance without the disjointed flavor of a best of album. There is a ton of energy and emotion in this album. Pa'lante was a great way to end the performance.

Paul Spanbauer Monster collection from Mr. Oldham. Records like these will get us through 2025 and beyond.
    jmnoren thumbnail
jmnoren Tough to pick a fav, but I went with this one cuz I remember quite awhile ago when BPB posted “Guns are for cowards” on Twitturd. Been on his mind for awhile, I guess. The song is instantly jammable. “Is My Living in Vain” is so badass. The whole album is glorious, each song full of pleasing pieces interlocking into like, the most fulfilling melodies BPB has ever conjured? Dude cracked the code with this one, I think. Favorite track: Guns Are For Cowards.

    absinthe242 thumbnail
absinthe242 What a time capsule! Start to finish I love everything about this collect. I've been with MoAM for a very long time (late 90s), and have seen them live on many occasions. This collect captures the joyous, unadulterated, frenetic, tesla coil of energy they unleash at every show.

What is remarkable for this collection is Birdstuff's drumming. Given the sensory overload at each live show this detail is easily lost in EVERYTHING. However, it shines through here and it makes me smile. Favorite track: Welcome to the Wicky Wacky World of John Peel (The Wayward Meteor).
