Old Leech War//Plague fuse speed-metal, punk, and brooding post-punk in a way that evokes but does not copy true crust of olde like Amebix and Sacrilege. The rare band that pushes boundaries and also hits the sweet spot. Just freaking great stuff.

It’s an absolutely beautiful experience that is filled with an ambient bittersweet joy and melancholy that speaks directly to my soul. It is simultaneously sweepingly uplifting and devastatingly sad. RJ Lord of the Rings inspired black metal is one of my favorite things, especially when done in the same vein as Summoning and Caladan Brood. Melodic, whimsical, and well arranged - ‘Citadel of Stars’ is easily recommended. Forth Éorlingas! 7/10 Favorite track: Beholding the Chamber of Mazarbul.
