qt-1 This album gets me pumped after a long day of mentally-draining office work. Favorite track: Fatherland.
    H.L. thumbnail
H.L. For 25 years, Ensiferum has been one of the big names in epic folk metal. Melodic, lively, often heroic, and anthemic, their dynamic mix of melodic death and power metal is simply captivating. They perform with great energy, but they also don't shy away from quieter guest contributions, such as the almost ballad-like "Scars in my Heart," delivered by pleasant female vocals. Besides this rather unusual song, I can also recommend "Long Cold Winter of Sorrow and Strife" as a more typical listen. Favorite track: Long Cold Winter of Sorrow and Strife.

pghm Back to the furious old style of Ensiferum. Have to love this album as a perfect balance of old and new, bright and dark, humor and serious. Good stuff. Favorite track: Victorious.

    Lars Gotrich thumbnail
Lars Gotrich North African percussion and melodies are deeply ingrained in Znous, a chugga-chuggin metal band from Tunisia, but its third album levels up the revolutionary groove. www.vikingschoice.org/archive/why-do-memories-glow-the-way-real-moments-dont/ Favorite track: El-Mansiette المنسيّات (guest. Med Tounsi).

bmurator Tunisian Political Punk / Metal. I cannot believe that I belong to the same world & so called "humanity" that has allowed these things to take place. To say my heart breaks, with every video or article I watch, is a huge understatement! These are three fantastic & superb & incredibly expressive tracks. The way all the emotions are captured makes it truly unique imho - no matter how sad they are... :) Thanks Fallenin77 for introducing me to Znous! Much appreciated! Cannot recommend this more!!! Favorite track: Beth 𐤁 The Bedtime Story.

dcdirkzwager Between all the violence you sometimes crave something nice, something simply beautiful. This is such a thing. Breathtaking!
    Phuzz thumbnail
Phuzz This quickly became the soundtrack of my winter.

I'd end up every day listening to this as soon as I was getting ready for work.

Amazing blend of, well all the things that make an album powerful without the need for the bombast.

Beautiful. Favorite track: Be a Forest, Child!.

    ladislav42 thumbnail
ladislav42 I've been waiting a long time for this album. I became completely immersed in the world of Starveil. It's a beautiful and also very melodic and atmospheric journey. It helps me relax and unwind in this mad world. Thank you! :) Favorite track: Sky's Breath.
    H.L. thumbnail
H.L. Fabienne Erni is incredibly busy; she sings in two well-known bands, Eluveitie and Illumishade, and now she's released a very good solo album. With her signature passion and yearning in her voice, she presents beautifully melodic metal songs, all more or less short, snappy, and very catchy. A hit album from start to finish, though "Forged in Me" is my favorite track every time I listen to it. Favorite track: Forged in Me.

    Arachnid Saar (Spectral Damnation) thumbnail
    throughmyeyes9 thumbnail
throughmyeyes9 This album is absolutely amazing. The progression as a band is clear in songs like Oblivion and Glenwood. Songs like The Darkness and Unbreakable are beyond heavy and touch on the true metal community. My favorite is by and far Prison of Flesh, its a grown up Hellfire with depth and is the heaviest song I have ever heard! Favorite track: Prison of Flesh.
    drogo7 thumbnail
drogo7 one of the Best epic song from this amazing band Favorite track: Forevermore.
