  4. III
    by Fuath
    supported by
    TomCush thumbnail
TomCush Ice cold and bristling with atmosphere. Awesome black metal project from the artist who brought us Saor.
    Nati2de thumbnail
Nati2de Fantastic album! Tremolo picking. Blast beats. Gaelic folklore. What’s not to like? Favorite track: Embers of the Fading Age.
    sashavonkarl74 thumbnail
sashavonkarl74 The Listening Party for III was fun despite happening after the release of the full album :)
This is Fuath's best album IMHO, but any fan of extremely well-crafted atmospheric BM will feel under a friendly sky here. Andy Marshall (SAOR) can do no wrong. Favorite track: Possessed by Starlight.

  5. Harbinger of revenge and war
    by Garde
    supported by
    Chandler Brown thumbnail
Chandler Brown It's Dan Capp's world and we're all living in it. First Kremess (my AOTY), now this. His vocals take on not just Quorthon influence but old school power metal as well and it's amazing, he has never sounded like this. As for Arjan's instrumentals, this is no Uuntar (his masterworks imo) but they provide great atmosphere and songwriting while Dan's vocals lead the charge across the seas. Hail Woden and Donar Favorite track: Marked by the God.
    Styg Bond thumbnail
Styg Bond Blending hints of Bathory and Primoridal with everything in between, Garde manage to conjure a very sophisticated, mid-paced Viking adventure. Where sometimes there can be a struggle with accessing Primordial, Garde is extremely easy to approach. Jump in that longboat and prepare for battle. You’re going to war with Garde as the soundtrack.

    DFusion thumbnail
DFusion Weird as shit. Love it. Thin Lizzy meets early First wave BM bands in a forgotten recording studio. Frank Zappa produces...... Favorite track: Within the Air and Light.
    Shifty thumbnail
Shifty One of my favorite albums of 2021 for sure. Especially on a vision quest. Can't wait to see what else these guys do.

sashavonkarl74 This self-titled debut EP from Kryptan was released through Debemur Morti productions, featuring Matthias "Crpytan" Norrman and Alex Högbom, both also in Moondark and October Tide (and ex-Katatonia). This is Swedish BM of the fast and furious type, with a slightly heavy production, but melodic and with dual vocals (DM growls and BM shrieks) well complemented by keyboards. In Feb/2025 a debut LP will be released by Edged Circle Prods.

    NastyNate1988 thumbnail
NastyNate1988 Every day I listen to something from Swartadauþuz. So many great projects and so much music to choose from! I love it.
