Avery Just an unreal amount of talent and depth on display here. Every song is superbly resonant, intricate, and atmospheric. The title track is so moving and beautiful to me, and manages to also be heavy as hell; one of my favorite songs of all time. Favorite track: endurance.

Lorenzo Bizarre and creative thrash / 90s black metal infected with a progressive edge in a off-kilter way. Meeting at an intersection somewhere between Emporer, Voivod, and Absu but not quite meeting any of those bands neatly, Alienation Manifesto is an aptly titled album of vicious guitars, scathing vocals, and weirdo flourishes pulling in a cold 'sci-fi' sound.

TheEliteExtremophile Both this act and Ulthar feature blistering cosmic blackened death metal, but Thanatotherion features lusher soundscapes supported by synthesizers.

RJ This is some weird stuff and not really in a bad way, but also unfortunately not in a truly good way either. This is the first release from BEKOR QILISH and while it may just be OK for me, it has absolutely piqued my interest. I’m looking forward to what this project puts out in the future. Also the album cover is primo. 6/10 Favorite track: Ocean Of Malice.

ClassyMusicSnob a perfect fusion of technical and melodic brings this fun project blasting ahead of many other full length albums that came out last year. This is undoubtedly the best EP of 22. This sounds like it would belong I the 00s with a lot of the prog metal legends like Meshuggah, Opeth, BTBAM, Dream Theater, but could also draw comparisons to The Ruins of Beverast, Blut Aus Nord and Deathspell Omega. BQ Bring an enjoyable sample of something epic yet to come I hope. 4/5 Favorite track: Wretched Dawn.

Dan Curhan This is a skillfully unconventional, gleefully synth-laden journey through some of the best, darkest, and most vicious avant-garde what-the-fuckery I've heard in a long time. It’s dynamic and demented, painstakingly crafted and precisely executed, with a startlingly creative approach to blackened dissonance. A delightful blast of fresh air for an increasingly crowded aesthetic.

Dmitry Nevozhay Perfect example of huge dark and cold icelandic atmosphere in doomy black metal frame. Staple of the genre Favorite track: Carrion is a Golden Throne.

Ultimhate Every release I listen to is going to be compared to the standard that this album sets.
This is 9 years of work compressed into 61 minutes of absolute glory and a proof of Wann's deep love for the genre.
