    Blastbeat Junkie thumbnail
Blastbeat Junkie "... born of unfathomable, inexpressible dissociative states of distortion. Grindcore and Noisegrind in the vein of ‘Ways of Confusion’ or ‘Lead Their Exit’, with a sound similar to good-era Fear of God or WORLD."

Luke Boris are a band full of surprises, and this live album was a surprise! The title conjures images of a sweaty intimate thing. But this is much more Live at Pompeii than The 100 Club, with minimal recorded audience presence and big airy songs that seem to emanate from the earth for their own pleasure rather than performed for a paying crowd. A fabulous Rainbow-centric setlist, with a few extra thrill thrown in. Special as always.

    thenewspaper a cosmonongahela!
Starting with a masterpiece, FOETUS gives us a proper, drunk, Pynchon-thorough American Gristle. This is where the boot meets the face, forever. Favorite track: What Have You Been Doing?.

mattyg107 Glad to see Jim's oldest stuff is getting a nice digital/vinyl reissue and remastered too!! Great news as I used to bug him maybe ten years ago about the singles collection he said was being released. Let's just do remastered Hole, Nail and Thaw then the singles set? However long it's worth the wait. Don't forget Wiseblood too!! Favorite track: Gums Bleed.

eric F Back before the Beginning, LPs washed up on our shores, carried across the oceans from distant lands. Then you would play Driver UFO on the FM radio in the just-past-twilight muggy summer night, letting the studio monitors vibrate with the thunder of sound, and with the hope that someone out there was listening, and feeling, too.
