  1. Pure Disgust
    by Pure Disgust
    supported by
    Mike Swag thumbnail
Mike Swag Catchy hardcore punk with straightforward political lyrics. One of my faves of 2016. Favorite track: Lost Child.
    Matt S. thumbnail
Matt S. DCHC at it's finest! Pure Disgust is one of my favorite hardcore bands in the scene right now and this LP is a perfect representation of why. Tight, fast riffs, polarizing and ruthless lyricism, and growly, unforgiving vocal performances make this album the worst enemy of the complacent. Favorite track: Agents of the Machine.
    Kvallning thumbnail
Kvallning This might be my favourite album of the year. Holy shit. This destroys. Favorite track: Slander Me.

seanmcg_ Amazing, beautiful album. It deserves every bit of praise it gets Favorite track: Like Antennas To Heaven....
    gracklethorn thumbnail
gracklethorn Super exited to finally purchase this album on vinyl! You guys got me into collecting when I heard you'd (reasonably) taken everything off streaming, and I don't think I've respected an artist more.

Fantastic music, absolutely wonderful when you need to pour your heart out one way or another Favorite track: Sleep.

    JDMP thumbnail
JDMP once again, brother urso puts another fantastic release in my feed. very good emoviolence with all the good post-black and post-hardcore you could want. glassing, fluoride, and oathbreaker mixed into one? yeah, ill eat that up.
    Urso X thumbnail
Urso X Extremely well crafted, no matter how you describe the genre (punk, screamo, etc.) There’s real beauty in these riffs, and the vocals are absolutely pure. Wonderful!

Glad you liked this, JDMP 🫶 Favorite track: polar destinies.
    colonycollapsexvx thumbnail
colonycollapsexvx female-fronted anarchist emoviolence from LA. kinda mathy the way some old school metalcore would be

  4. Children of God (2020 Remaster)
    by SWANS
    supported by
    gekinatracksuit thumbnail
gekinatracksuit Beautiful Child is an excellent laxative. Favorite track: Beautiful Child.
    Xtra Happy thumbnail
Xtra Happy Dark and oppressive (no shit it's a Swans album) but with a comforting (yet still very icy) enough touch that you *just* about get lulled into a false sense of security. Maybe akin to an inescapable nightmare featuring a family member or close friend acting...not as you know them.

Everything before this is a bit too blunt for my tastes; I feel like CoD is when Swans start to properly expand and branch outwards, and you can really hear that with Jarboe's contributions becoming more incorporated. Favorite track: Children of God.
    The Laughing Stock thumbnail
The Laughing Stock If you're planning on getting into swans, this is definitely a good album to start with. very accessible and very spiritual. Takes you to a whole nother world man Favorite track: Beautiful Child.

crylliox in third grade, the first lesson i learned was how animals and plants have evolved to adapt to especially harsh conditions to survive. we have as well, and we most certainly can. Favorite track: The Dead Flag Blues.
    Wyn (Ceramic Rabbit) thumbnail
Wyn (Ceramic Rabbit) This album creates a perfect blend between tragedy and beauty. Almost like hope falling down a well that never ends. It is in the top 10 of albums that can only be listened to with your eyes closed. Like blind cinema or something. Favorite track: The Dead Flag Blues.
    Louggo thumbnail
Louggo El disco se transforma en un insecto miserable y arrastrado por las grietas de una ciudad en ruinas, donde el tren nunca llega y la esperanza es solo un eco desafinado Favorite track: The Dead Flag Blues.
