  1. IT'S THE LONG GOODBYE
    by The Twilight Sad
    supported by
    ratmachine398 thumbnail
ratmachine398 This album feels like driving home from the hospital late at night after a loved one has died. Might be because that's what it's about?

Another great release by The Twilight Sad. Favorite track: ATTEMPT A CRASH LANDING - THEME.
    DAS VILLAIN thumbnail
DAS VILLAIN I sympathize with The Twilight Sad of losing a family member. I lost my father to cancer in 2017 and my mom of respiratory failure in 2018. This album is the band's way of coping with their loss that delves into the synthpop / darkwave /shoegaze side. It's never easy losing a loved one-as I still mourn them, but it gets easier-where The Twilight Sad helps ease one's pain as they ease there own. Favorite track: DESIGNED TO LOSE.

justintylerhughes Modern masterpiece of powerful crushing heaviness and raw passion Favorite track: Bad Faith.
    evan thumbnail
evan equal parts hard and vulnerable, absolutely one of the defining records for these guys. they're somehow putting out amazing records more than 30 years after the first one Favorite track: Make Me Forget You.
    Alexander Pugachev thumbnail
Alexander Pugachev Should I call this a comeback? Favorite track: We Were Never the Same.

solom Just want to scream like this singer haha. Favorite track: No Gospel.
    aelia thumbnail
aelia To echo what others have said…this is the best screamo album, perhaps ever. I’m only slightly obsessed with Palo Santo. I’ve played that song more times than I’d admit to, but the album as a whole is pretty much perfect.
    dearambelina thumbnail
dearambelina Genuinely the greatest Screamo record I have ever listened to. The music speaks for itself in this case. Favorite track: Bodega Head.

  5. Memorial
    by Olhava
    supported by
    sequoia_sempervirens thumbnail
sequoia_sempervirens This record and its release means so much more to me than just the fabulous sound that it is. it is a proof that an emotional bound can remain regardless of so-called borders or authority-ordered abscence of peace. the st petersburg-sound is THE music closest to my heart and i am so thankful to andrey and timur for this new input of hope. all of you feel blessed in exact the way you need, stay safe and strong and never let the connection through music fade away! best wishes from germany!
    Urso X thumbnail
Urso X First impression, this feels like the most ethereal and rarified record in Olhava’s discography; it certainly doesn’t radiate the lashing fury of Reborn or sylvan vibe of Ladoga. And even though this is an album coloured by loss, coming as it does four-plus years into a horrific war that “experts” said would only last a few weeks, I swear it feels hopeful and even joyous in places. In any case, another stunning entry in this band’s sublime body of work. Favorite track: When the Ashes Grow Cold.
    Bog Trotter thumbnail
Bog Trotter This album and pokemon fire red on switch released on the same day! Looks like I'm leveling up a Blackgaze Bulbasaur tonight Favorite track: After I’m Gone.

Nocturnal Egg (Jordan) 《 Diese grauen Bauten
    sind meine Zuflucht,
    doch sind sie auch
das Gift in meinen Adern. 》
    — "Graue Bauten", Wiedersehen - unsere Hoffnung. Heretoir.

Favorite track: Glacierheart - Nightsphere Part II.
    Alice M. thumbnail
Alice M. I’m not sure why I did not buy this in 2023. OK, it’s a bit short, but it’s so intense that you barely notice that. They really upped their game on that one.
    aizerid thumbnail
aizerid There are few albums I've found that are as beautifully composed as this. Lyrically, absolute poetry. I love (what I believe is) the nod to Agalloch, "the pantheon of oak." Amazing work, gentlemen. I can't wait to see what you create together next. Favorite track: Glacierheart - Nightsphere Part II.
    Grimroaeos thumbnail
Grimroaeos Seeing the world burn and waste away, made this album more impactful. Although it feels a bit forced, I can't deny it's beauty. Heretoir continues to make beautiful work. Favorite track: Twilight of the Machines.
