  1. Diamond Jubilee
    by Cindy Lee
    supported by
    demlet thumbnail
demlet A genuinely stunning album. It begs, almost demands, to be heard in its entirety. There's a cumulative effect that's hard to explain – an induced nostalgia for a time and place that never really was, a heartache for a person who only ever existed in a dream. It's a masterpiece.

thas2s This album proved to me that Cindy Lee is the most talented / exciting guitarist and project of the decade. This album really does feel like flegel has fully stepped into the persona of Cindy Lee, forgoing a lot of the production of previous albums that were more akin to stuff on women. “Diamond Jubilee” is a musical journey by the artist Cindy Lee, not Patrick flegel. ITS PERFECT! Favorite track: 24/7 Heaven.

sig Intimate and unique. Crunch it up in your finest pair of headphones. Favorite track: Passion Babe.
    nowideau thumbnail
nowideau After the crossover appeal of Designer, I didn't warm initially to Warm Chris's more insular sound. Contra the title, the stripped down approach sounded like an artist retreating into the distance, kind of stand-offish. But I now think it's the opposite. Warm Chris is a remarkably brave record, both vulnerable and confident in its melodic idiosyncrasies. It asks to be loved...no, it KNOWS it will be loved on its own terms, terms enough to make it one of the year's best.
    Joshua White thumbnail
Joshua White otherworldly but approachable. I keep coming back Favorite track: Leathery Whip.
