veenstar Jesse inhabits a sort of of desert psychedelia. I consider this an expansion on that theme. There are some truly epic rises above the tried and true. Love it. Favorite track: Winter’s Empty Pages.

Venus In Furs Every song on this album is utterly captivating and a moody alternative folk rock epic... Every single one. This album should have made Jesse and her band famous way back in the mid 2000s. I would love to see them do a retrospective tour now playing this album in full. It's almost impossible for me to pick just one song as my favorite... If you buy only one album from Jesse this is the one to get... Favorite track: The Dreaming Dead.

It was nice to hear a band that was so appreciated by lots of attendees that were ready for the 125 dB pummeling that would ensue. It was the perfect contrast. I never listened before.
