Favorite track: Forged With the Blood of Aamon.

    Nocturnal Egg (Jordan) thumbnail
Favorite track: In Purgatory We Cry for Salvation.

Geoff Scott I love the bass tone on this whole album. Favorite track: As the Angels Weep Tears of Moonlight.

satanthony Yes, yes, yes. Female vocalists are so hard to find in death metal that I will gladly gorge on whatever is offered, and what is offered kicks ass. Favorite track: Dawa of Yousafzai.

Ben Harris Really reminiscent of the most balefully exultant moments of 90's era Carcass. I especially love the old school dystopian science fantasy feel of "Spiritual Malevolence". Don't play silly buggers and mistakenly overlook this gem! Favorite track: Spiritual Malevolence.
    RJ thumbnail
RJ Corpsessed have released a brutally dense experience and one of the better death metal albums of 2022. It's so damn heavy. There is thick chunky groove to be found throughout that when paired with the slightly muddy tones and production give an incredibly effective package. 8/10 Favorite track: Death-Stench Effluvium.
    zirtonic thumbnail
zirtonic It's caverndeath that doesn't reinvent the wheel, which is exactly what you want out of caverndeath.

I can't help but think these guys all got their butts kicked by Malenia. The cover art screams Elden Ring.

    Portland, OR 🇺🇸

Best EP of 2022, hands down. Puerta Negra’s industrialized body music hits all the right spots. From Maria’s gritty, shouted vocals paired with Mark’s shouts to the latter’s production. Soft, descending synths rain upon a very danceable bass synth and programmed percussion. Co-Produced & Mastered by Susan Subtract (Physical Wash, High-Functioning Flesh, Branes, etc.) Someone needs to put this on vinyl, stat. Favorite track: Violencia.
