  1. The Enchanting Winds of the Dreamweaving Masquerade
    by NIGHT OF THE VAMPIRE

Bart Weird mix of goth darkwave and black metal. The first track is definitely my favorite. This is definitely outside my normal fare, but it's pretty cool. Favorite track: Children of the Immortal Blood.
    Giz thumbnail
Giz We get synthwave, goth-pop, post-punk, 80s VHS bound heavy metal all blackened and with a strangely joyful approach to the darkness they seek to explore. Yes there is a feeling of a smile behind this but one roused by the love of the strange, fascinating and pretty much unique sound they are crafting.
You have to give this a go, honestly.. Blackened post-punk-metal-dungeonwave FTW!

John Eagerly anticipated release. Hits that psych darkwave black metal sound we've all become addicted to. On top of that, some of the best vampire metal. Early contender for AOTY from my perspective. Favorite track: Chasing Shadows in an Ocean of Time.

    Cadavre_Sombre (Midgard_OBM) thumbnail
Cadavre_Sombre (Midgard_OBM) Raw, atmospheric, desperate, melancholic, a record of darkness quite oppressive, to the listening of this record we fall into the depths of another dimension of despair. By the way, excellent album with an amazing artwork, the vocals are pretty good, with an incisive and lo-fi production, a Raw Black Metal release with a nice atmosphere of chaos and death, good work.
    INDOLE / Filth Eternal thumbnail
INDOLE / Filth Eternal Dark and evil, but still triumphant at times. Large washed out sections of haunted intervals, but enough blast beats to propel the tracks forward. The occasional synth part adds to the atmosphere without compromising on rawness or Evil. Favorite track: Keepers Of The Seal.

  4. As Infinite Shadows Of The Nightsky

    bmurator thumbnail
bmurator Finnish Black Metal. This started as a one man, S.Korpituli, project & is now with drums from Samuli Lindberg as well. All done in the tradition of early Norwegian BM from the 90s. The strong vocals give that fantastic icy edge that permeates through the entire album. Very diverse music with some superb melodies throughout! Love the misterious cover too... :) Thanks Fallenin77 / Wan! I need quite a few repeats for a favourite... :) Highly recommended!!!

mourner With this album I can't emphasize enough how important the vocals were/are for me to love it. Those clean chants are overwhelming when used. In addition to that you get diverse, well written and produced songs that will stay with you for a long time and provide you with perfectly balanced melody, darkness and a little aggression. Favorite track: Endless Whispers Echo.
    Warangelic thumbnail
Warangelic A monumental celebration of the past. It is indeed a nostalgic trip without it being a ripoff of the sounds that made black metal as big as it is. Grim and glorious. Favorite track: The Keys And Gates To Unhallowed Lands.
