Dumb mmmn there aren't many fireflies left around here - I sure enjoy seeing one.. when I can
    joanofarch thumbnail
joanofarch They simply know how to write sings that combine amazing, heavy riffs with harmonies full of tension and atmospheric elements. And they craft buildups that get your heartrate up like nothing else.
Some of the songs feel inspired by bands like Haken with complex rhythmicality. I love everything about that album. Favorite track: Sight Unseen.
    Holger Rudolph thumbnail
Holger Rudolph Awesome album. I wasn't sure, if Elder would return to the incredible song writing of the past AND keep getting more progressive. Well, they did. Favorite track: Strata.

    by Daughter of The Vine
    supported by

    magoski Don't
    mistake
    urgency
    for
    readiness.
    The forest
    isn't
    going
    anywhere.
    Neither
    is
    the Moon.
    Neither
    is
    the sea.
    They've
    been
    waiting
    longer
    than
    your
    questions.
    ...

    Enter
    geometric
    time.
    Where
    circles
    become
    footsteps.
    Where
    spirals
    become
    breath.
    Where
    a straight
    line
    finally
    admits
    it
    was
    always
    a river.

    ...

    See
    through
    the Cosmic
    Eye.
    Not
    to escape
    the world.
    To
    fall
    deeper
    into
    it.

Aditya Margaret Garrett is truly one of the greats of our time. It's been incredible to follow her musical output through the years. I'm so glad I came across Daughter of the Vine and that the music is going strong!

Having one favourite track is impossible!
    stop_following_me thumbnail
stop_following_me This is what I consider the true descendents of psychedelic music. The down tuned sludge that passes for "stoner" music just doesn't do it for me. The vocals are hauntingly beautiful, the music fits the vocals perfectly.

jfd001 Amazing sound, ringing reverb and singing Guitar , hooks and filling all spaces ear to ear and beyond! Favorite track: Open Blue.

    formulating
    a seed in my head

I waited for this not knowing what it isIAM waiting for
just knowing that I'd be knowing what it I am waiting for
when I meet up w/ it

    Your house is a shrine
a messy chaotic library of metamorphosis
    a gooey
    galaxy of forever
    grilling the Manna
    while salivating at the thought
    of eating the Sun

  5. Space Rangers
by Neil Merryweather & the Space Rangers
    supported by
    Fernando Benítez thumbnail
Fernando Benítez bands just don't make music like this anymore. heavy rock/fusion/glam, quality and feeling all the way. In this band, Mr. Merryweather was like a magician turning Mahogany Rush-like cosmic/hippy heavy metal into down and dirty Funkadelic-styled soul, all of it as seen through the eyes of Zappa had he played with the Spiders from Mars. genres be damned!
