This is the last release by my favorite era of ISIS, the earliest one, where the band could still be brutal and explored space without filling it up with melody. To an extent, Aaron Turner has returned to this vibe and explored it more deeply with SUMAC. Every track here after the ambient intro is a highlight, though I'm partial to Justin Broadrick's Godflesh-izing of "Celestial".
