jhardycarroll These terrific improvisations are filled with deeply sensitive musical interactions that seem like eloquent conversations. It's lovely and engaging music that works on many levels. All the tracks are great, but Here is a standout. Favorite track: Here.
    Peter Hollo thumbnail
Peter Hollo This is so good. Minimal jazz in various ways. The hypnotic third track is first class, but so are the other two. Immerse yourself. Favorite track: Here.

  2. Reductio ad Absurdum
    by Instrumental (adj.)
    supported by
    Erkadur thumbnail
Erkadur This band's ability to paint a story so clearly throughout the entirety of each track is incredible to say the least.

Steller musicianship coupled with high production/mixing allows the listener to experience the music as if they were literally there in the composer's world while the music flows around their ears. <3

These tracks fit the albums title very well. You can hear the descent into absurdity as the EP develops, ending with a FUNKY track! :D

A must-have for progressive music fans! Favorite track: Reductio ad Absurdum.
    Gata Vrangr thumbnail
Gata Vrangr incredible ep and outstanding musichanship, this is really inspiring, the way Istrumental (adj.) play with rhythm is really engaging and I'm loving the slightly more midwest emo vibe on these tracks. Favorite track: Reductio ad Absurdum.

  3. A Series Of Disagreements
    by Instrumental (adj.)
    supported by
    Erkadur thumbnail
Erkadur Some of the most creative and well-executed progressive metal music ever. <3 The band's name lives up to the genre and their two EPs are staples in the progressive scene.

Their ability to story tell through music is on another level. You can hear the disagreements in the first track from the polyrhythms and juxtaposed lines. The second track is a nice progressive fusion "break." The last track paints the subject manner perfectly.

This is a must-have EP for progressive metal fans! :D Favorite track: A Series Of Disagreements.
    Gata Vrangr thumbnail
Gata Vrangr I've been listenining this non stop since I discovered it. incredible musichanship and taste for harmonies. the tracks flow incredibly well but surprise you at every change. Love the rhythm fuckery that's going on, so inspiring. Favorite track: Fibonasty.
    Egg Wizard thumbnail
Egg Wizard Ballistic math-rock and free-jazz oriented intrumental post-rock. If you understand that, you'll catch the vibe. Dense, complex, and progressive. Favorite track: A Series Of Disagreements.

    Ghuughra thumbnail
Ghuughra Not sure what I was expecting, but I'm certainly not disappointed. Groovy and chill, with occasional excursions into avant-noise territory. And not a singer in sight (good).

Not a listen-everyday type release, but still a solid addition to the collection. Favorite track: Promenade à deux.
    ninsopolis thumbnail
ninsopolis The Real McCoy. Sends me straight to heaven. Thank you for soundtracking so much of my life. Favorite track: Promenade à deux.
    Lord Dubious thumbnail
Lord Dubious A kinder, gentler Tortoise for '25. I like how it picks up some steam towards the end. Got some their prettiest stuff since "It's All Around You" on it. Dig! Favorite track: Rated OG.

Lake Of Fire I really like "American Nervoso", but "We are the Romans" is a milestone.
This is Antoni Gaudí 's Sagrada Familia.
This is Francis Bacon' s disturbing and beautiful paintings.
This is Sergio Leone 's "The good, the bad, and the ugly".
    A timeless masterpiece
    honeycombguy thumbnail
honeycombguy This is the album that truly sold me on metalcore as a genre. From the dynamic songwriting to that fuzzed out bass tone, it's an album I'm always happy to revisit. Favorite track: C. Thomas Howell As the "Soul Man".
