LeastSuccessfulHumanCannonball Before this album, I was mostly ignorant about Beheaded. Now, they have added Fabio from Maze of Sothoth on guitar and released one of the best death metal albums of the year. The music and Maltese horror concept are outstanding, and the production seems to be a step up too. Favorite track: Iljieli bla qamar.

Phyl Lobius ULTHA waren ja schon immer etwas Besonderes. Das neue Album macht da keine Ausnahme: neben herrlichsten Black-Metal-Eruptionen gibt es diesmal Ambient-, Krautrock- und Gothic-Ausflüge, die zusammen seltsamerweise ein ziemlich kohärentes Bild ergeben. Das kann nicht jede Band, ULTHA kriegen die gefühlt sieben Spagate aber mühelos hin und präsentieren mit A LIGHT SO DIM ein echt kurzweiliges Album, das ich nicht so schnell zur Seite legen werde. Favorite track: Love As We're Falling Down.

𝖙𝖜𝖎𝖘𝖙𝖊𝖉𝖘𝖔𝖓𝖔𝖋𝖜𝖆𝖙𝖘𝖔𝖓 Eskhaton put the death in metal. I’ve said it before, and will say it again, the feature that separates bands these days is intent. And Eskhaton are intent on laying waste to your being. This is a devastating release and highly recommended.
