Smekermann An absolutely world-class album in the realm of sequenced/synth space music. Think Berlin School, but more… layered, syncopated, and organic, maybe.

There are layers of polyrhythms built up between sequenced synths, hand percussion, and what sounds like maybe mandolin, and they all amount to an absolutely beautiful, almost mystical atmosphere throughout. Recalling TD and JMJ on occasion, this album stands on the shoulders of giants without merely imitating them. Favorite track: Nightfall in Huancar.

ernstlat one of the best albums by Steve Roach - several songs from this album were included in the soundtrack of the trendsetting MMOFPS "Neocron", a cyberpunk MMO in the style of Deus Ex. This particular song - "Fall of the Moai" - was used as its main theme. Favorite track: Fall of the Moai.

Larry Ullrick This is one of Steve's better CDs to me. because it was hard to pick a favorite among more than the usual average number of tracks. Favorite track: The Majestic Void.

Biff Johnson and Shelley Andrews Steve's compilations are the best.This is no clear the dusty shelves release.There are great gems in here and moving these from where they were created gives new context to them.This becomes its own sound garden with a new twist..There is something for everybody in this wonderful behind the scenes look into Steve's creative process.Get it now !!!
