  1. Do Not Go To War With The Demons Of Mazandaran
    by Lowen
    supported by
    positronicping thumbnail
positronicping Phenomenal progressive doom with death metal and traditional Iranian elements woven throughout. This is thunderous, beautiful music, with Saeidi's lyrics imbuing the mythical themes with such political urgency. Favorite track: May Your Ghost Drink Pure Water.
    Jesus Popcornius thumbnail
Jesus Popcornius It's been 2 years and still I'm impressed by how aesthetically dense and sophisticated the music is - Nina's undoubtedly unparalleled and the theme astutely chosen!

love & solidarity to all the oppressed

against imperialism & techbro dystopia Favorite track: Corruption on Earth.
    speiss_autarr thumbnail
speiss_autarr It is rare for me to get an album on my hands that I can listen to over and over from beginning to end without stopping/skipping or fidgeting.

Mysterious, ambitious, beautiful, awe-inspiring. So happy we are still getting such quality music in this day and age. Favorite track: May Your Ghost Drink Pure Water.

    Thalasar thumbnail
Thalasar Simply phenomenal, Dan Terminus truly is one of the GOAT's of darksynth Favorite track: Zero One.
    Ulrik H. Kold thumbnail
Ulrik H. Kold This album really reminds me of Justice. That's a good thing :)
    palehorse666 thumbnail
palehorse666 it seems that Dan Terminus can do no wrong, and I mean that with wholehearted sincerity. while I still love Gothic Engine and The Wrath of Code the most, Gestalt Providence is further proof of his unflinching ability to capture a dark, cyberpunk world in musical form. with breakneck pacing and crisp production, Dan Terminus yet again unleashes an inspiring, devastating, and poignant addition to his catalog. Favorite track: Metroscopy.

    doive thumbnail
doive The perfect soundtrack to a delivery day in the wild at the wheel of your rig, and I've been there trust me. Favorite track: Desert cruiser.
    jamjamkiley thumbnail
jamjamkiley Just awesome, kick butt music. Lots of variation... with good fuzz and desert vibes Favorite track: Desert cruiser.
    Xtra Happy thumbnail
Xtra Happy Incredibly solid fuzzed-out spaced-out stoner rock. Worth picking up for the anthemic 'Desert Cruiser' and the blistering hot 'Manhattan Project' alone, with other great cuts like 'Gargarismo' and 'Gweedo-Weedo' helping you chug and headbang through the whole thing.

Usually getting t-boned by a truck is something you'd want to fight (in an abstract sense I suppose), but when its got so many great hooks and riffs jam-packed in the trailer, maybe its worth the resulting concussion. Favorite track: Manhattan project.

    flightoficarus (Metal Trenches) thumbnail
flightoficarus (Metal Trenches) The perfect name for this big lumbering mass of brass.
    - MetalTrenches.com Favorite track: Shrine of the Orange Sunn.
    Steve Rodger thumbnail
Steve Rodger Never was a tag more appropriate than genre-bending.
    Scott Spiers thumbnail
Scott Spiers If you're already a fan of Eight Foot Manchild, this is an EP to go nuts over. If you're new to the band, this is the perfect time to dive straight in. This is a well-planned and executed dose of Doombrass that exceeds my expectations in every way. With Shrine of the Orange Sunn, they're clearly evolving past the "novelty act" they could easily become. The cleaver lyrics, nods to Zappa and Crimson, and movie clips are all here.

But man, it's so much more than that!

-cleanandsoberstoner.com Favorite track: Take It To The Chorus, Titanosaurus.
    FDJ (Desert Psychlist) thumbnail
FDJ (Desert Psychlist) Crushing riffs and honking brass is not a combination you come across everyday but its one i'd like to hear more of, especially if its as good as this! Favorite track: Take It To The Chorus, Titanosaurus.

Phenomenon groooooovyyy. me like Favorite track: Circle Of Salt.
    damage88 thumbnail
damage88 DOOMBRASS! Heavy doomy riffs with horns adding jazz textures and colours makes for some great music. Fans of the old Toronto band Glueleg need to check this out. Favorite track: Monsters Reign.
    Boozetafarian thumbnail
Boozetafarian Eight Foot Manchild has been in heavy rotation. Imagine Tom Waits joining forces with Clutch, Sleep, Fishbone, and some gravity bong enthusiast Oompa Loompas with baritone saxophones. Unique, repeatable, and interesting. Each song make me do the "that sick ass riff but slower" face. Highly recommended Favorite track: Circle Of Salt.

    Chris J thumbnail
Chris J Brilliant stuff, Beautifully Funereal I remember seeing someone call it, and..yeah. Crushingly heavy and crushingly slow, yet never feels meandering. The vocals are quite Michael Stipe-esque, and it perhaps ain't the most diverse record you'll ever hear, but if those aren't deal breakers (and for me, nowhere near, I'd almost say they're strengths), this is some of the best, most emotive Doom Metal you'll ever hear. Favorite track: Footprints.
    Craig Collins thumbnail
Craig Collins I saw a meme a while back. The top panel had two women conversing, one says to the other "I can't believe he didn't cry during titanic!" and the other says "Do men even have feelings?". The bottom panel was the "Yes" chad head with a darkened face looking at this album cover. I think that meme accurately depicts how this album sounds. Favorite track: Faces.
    trainh13 thumbnail
trainh13 Probably the best doom album of the last 20 years. Patrick's vocals are heartbreaking and the instrumentation accentuates the pent up emotion at every opportunity. Cathartic yet pensive, it's required listening as far as I'm concerned. Favorite track: Watching from a Distance.

    Pashang 爬上 thumbnail
Pashang 爬上 One of THE dark and heavy greats of all things synthy branches out to bless us with an unhinged, multi-genre masterpiece of an album...we got heavy darksynth, we got metal riffs for days... You like sax... We got that too! The vibe of the album coalesces magnificently in my favorite track with another favorite, the most malificent Draven, in A Lullaby for the Crucified. Absolute must-own for lovers of the dark and evil depths of the synthy scene. Or lovers of ripping, tearing guitars. Buy it. Favorite track: A Lullaby For The Crucified [with Draven].
    NeonLizard thumbnail
NeonLizard FFS its CONNÖR. If you don't love this album or anything this dude touches then you need serioushelp. The best Darksynth artist since Carpenter Brut IMO. Immense, ferocious, and unrelenting. TOP TIER Darksynth without a doubt..

Looking forward to adding a couple of tracks from this on my year mix so peeps can hear what they're missing out on! Rock on dude \m/ Favorite track: Dead By Dawn.
