Lute FP Haven’t heard thrash like this in a long time. Borders on too technical, but many of the great thrash bands did just that, and these guys never fully cross the line. Timing is everything- it simply must get your neck bobbing or it ain’t right. And this band gets it right.

And then there’s the vocals, sounding like a little Kill ‘Em All Hetfield and a little Show No Mercy Araya, which is to say the best periods of the best thrash vocalists in the industry. Yeah, this is a killer album.
    Michał Błaszczyk thumbnail
Michał Błaszczyk A genre-bending stunning debut album. Rarely does one band begin with such force, precission and technical abilities. Believe it or not, they sound even better live. Favorite track: Malfunction.
    Metal Addiction thumbnail
Metal Addiction It is a promising debut release with Coroner-esque technicality. This album is evocative of good old thrash metallers in the 80's like Testament, Coroner and the early days of Megadeth. Especially the guitar works are fantastic, showing jazzy, proggy and speedy feelings brilliantly fused in this album.

Murphrygian This crazy record seems to pay homage to the likes Dan Swano/Edge of Sanity, Rush, a little Slayer, etc. And hot damn, it is a fun ride!

spacciathemax Ciao a tutti! This is a great CD: 1640 by the German band Whirlwind. The historical concept and powerful music create a really positive vibe for the listener. I really like these guys because, while they follow the path blazed by 80s bands like Running Wild, Heaven’s Gate, X-Wild, and Iced Earth, they don't just copy them. They’ve developed their own well-defined sound. They aren't quite on the level of Triumpher or Eternal Champion yet, but they’ll get there with time because they are damn good. Favorite track: Winds Of Ash And Dust.

DenpaFuzz Raw songs are soaked in acid blues on a journey to the time when L.S.D. would open the minds of some young, long-haired guys full of hope on the California Coast back in the late 60s. With blues as the theme, the narcotic and rough songs of this impressive debut are colored by corrosive riffs and smoky atmospheres in a sound kaleidoscope with a clear vintage aroma.

paulwolski i have a cassette copy of "Carry the Torch" that I've had since around '85/'86. i recorded it from an album that a friend of mine had while we were in the Army stationed in Germany. i had so many cassettes that over the years I had thrown almost all of them away but I kept this one because I really liked it and I couldn't find it anywhere. I had periodically checked everywhere online but nothing.. What's funny is just this week I bought a cassette deck at Goodwill and transferred this and some other cassettes to computer, then to CD. I was pretty happy I was able to listen to this again, first time since the 80's! Then the next day I find this!!! Had to buy it. But I am so happy with my saved version too, it has a little snap, crackle, pop, but really not much, and I recorded it on a good quality metal tape so it sounds really kickass. Looking forward to hearing the rest these songs. Favorite track: Nite Flyer.
