Like reading good literature. Sophisticated, beautiful, concluding in a contagious groove. Favorite track: Ride into the Sun: Conclusion.

counselour I've been playing Elliot Smith in various forms since I heard Between the Bars years ago. I never thought Mr. Mehldau would cover him -- but I didn't know that he actually PLAYED with him. So, I'm a fool. In any case, it is great to hear a master play what I believe is some the most heartfelt music, albeit dark, I've ever heard. I'm a recovering alcoholic and this is some of the most touching music I'll ever experience.
