Louis Jagger While the long-awaited Bloom would seem to have dragged its arrival beyond April, what's incredibly exciting is that Spratleys would now appear to have their own Spratleys - a furtherance and continuation of the same ultramelodic brilliance down new electronic avenues; a worthy sibling to Bloom. Antithetical I love these synth sounds, and Brendan's voice sounds wonderful here. Overall the sound reminds me of Brendan's second solo alb, Ark. The lyrics have taken a dark turn but revisit themes found in "Song of the Dispossessed."
