sashavonkarl74 Many Thanks to Season of Mist for the code, much appreciated! Loved the CD digipak, great design and high quality booklet, as usual for Drudkh! Favorite track: Somewhere, Sometime.
    Saffron Robe thumbnail
Saffron Robe The inimitable Drudkh. Drudkh are to black metal as Kant is to philosophy — unimpeachable! These three tracks are suffused with polyphonic tones of fragile beauty that few bands can capture as well as Drudkh.
    Dr Sküllfük thumbnail
Dr Sküllfük A perfect follow up to Shadow Play, great atmosphere and excellent riffs, Drudkh can do no wrong these days it seems! Favorite track: A Moment in Eternity.

Scott Bowden probably my favourite release of 2025 (was a fantastic year for me musically, so tough to say), but definitely top 3 if not the top spot.

not just a return to form, it is an elevation of that form. exquisite.

    Jonathan Surek thumbnail
Jonathan Surek I usually only buy physical products on Bandcamp, but despite that (since all items are sold out) I just had to get a digital copy. This album expresses longing, melancholy and coldness in such an amazing way - I also enjoy the folk parts quite a bit!

  5. Sphären
    by Nahtrunar

    H.L. thumbnail
H.L. NAHTRUNAR's sound, especially its clattering quality, strongly evokes the 90s; I'm thinking of Abigor's "Supreme Immortal Art." The songs on "Sphären," however, are more catchy, albeit epic. It took me two or three listens, but now I can immerse myself in the dense atmosphere of tracks like "Kreuz Isa" or "Ymirs prophetischer Traum" — particularly certain guitar parts and atmospheric textures are truly memorable! Favorite track: Ymirs prophetischer Traum.

    sashavonkarl74 thumbnail
sashavonkarl74 Finnish folk metal, not too extreme, quite melodic and varied both in tempos and song structure. This is a well-crafted blend and the album is a rich experience, if you're open to this type of metal with folk elements, which could be called "extreme" only by the use of harsh vocals, but this is almost outweighed by very mellow passages as well (e.g. "Tuonen lehto" feels like a ballad) and some classic guitar (but no clean vocals, which is good!). Time for a new album, please ! Favorite track: Tuulen sanat (The Spell of Wind).
    Samarium6 thumbnail

    Eekhoorntjesbrood thumbnail
Eekhoorntjesbrood TESA keep getting better. Crushing and deliberate. Moving inexorably forward, leaving nothing intact in its path. Every sound is a fleck of ground concrete in a storm of debris.
    Blarg thumbnail
Blarg Their records are always an experience more than just a listen. It's incredible. This is some of their most dynamic stuff to date, and Interval 4 might be their best song ever. And that's saying something. Will be up there in my top records of the year, no question. Favorite track: INTERVAL 4.
    Svmerki thumbnail
Svmerki Amazing record and totally recommend to see TESA live!!! 🔥 Favorite track: INTERVAL 1.
