Ippocalyptica The best comment that I have seen describing this album, which is also one of the highest compliments, is that To Become the Endless Static is like an aural essay about Misthyrming’s Söngur heiftar. That is really all you need to know, aside from the fact that this is a huge step up for Aversio Humanitatis and their best work to date. And for those stubborn folk who won’t listen to or buy this because it is on Debemur Morti, get over yourselves: the label is awesome, as is this band!

In short, everything you’d want or expect from the follow-up to an album as breathtakingly singular as Behold the Silent Dwellers (which, as good as this is, remains my sentimental favourite). Archmage Orladin As someone else said, I normally don't particularly care for Winterfylleth. There's nothing bad about the band at all, they just don't 'do anything' for me. This album is absolutely stunning and a real treasure, and it would be wonderful if these guys did another pure folk/acoustic album in the future. Favorite track: The Shepherd.

Chandler Brown Winterfylleth is a good metal band but an even better folk band. This is easily their best album imo (though to be fair it’s almost like another Wolcensmen album, which explains its near-perfection). Either way, this is amazing beginning to end, and truly something that can transport your mind to much dreamier realms. Incredible musicianship and composition, and even better atmosphere. I would love more like this Favorite track: The Shepherd.
