  1. Den Menschen So Fern
    by Wallfahrer
    supported by
    Graymetal66 thumbnail
Graymetal66 In my opinion are Wallfahrer currently the most interesting German BM Band. This albums has everything to prove me right. Fascinating song writing meets intelligent lyrics you are even able to understand. My favorite song varies between "Refugium Natura" and "Den Menschen So Fern" Favorite track: Refugium Natura.

Mir so nah... Favorite track: Refugium Natura.
    Wheels of Mercury thumbnail
Wheels of Mercury Great German black metal album! German, I feel, is a great language for black metal, especially the over-enunciated kind that appears on this album. Killer riffs and melodies, too. PEOPLE: GET ON THIS!

Schöne Nummer. Find die teilweise "deathigen" Riffs passen gut!

LoneWolfWinter Also wenn das neue Album in diesem Stil ist, ist es für mich ein Pflichtkauf....

    Hail Nature....

    TOWDATHABTE thumbnail
TOWDATHABTE Just seen them at Black Hole Festival and they were amazing, I ditto all the previous comments. The theme and noise are up there and just bought all their output, so no bullshit!
    bmurator thumbnail
bmurator German Atmospheric Black Metal. I am considerably ashamed to be so incredibly late here but... :) These guys reall can do no wrong & they even started off this way! Goosebumps all the way & would simply love to see them live at some point - it must be a totally epic & grand show... :) It is simply not possible to have any faves at all! Highly recommended!!!
    The Ash Heritor thumbnail
The Ash Heritor Some of the absolute best thematic black metal out there. The riffs, the rhythms, the echoing sounds in many of the tracks, they all create this sense of desperate isolation (fitting in perfectly with the arctic expedition themes). And at the same time, there is something very heroic about the sound, as one would expect from pioneers venturing into the unknown. It's damn near perfect, and Antrisch just shot up to being one of my favorite bands of all time after just discovering them last week. Favorite track: IIII Firnfeldkonfrontation.

    by NIMBIFER

    RockladyLenka thumbnail
RockladyLenka From the very first seconds, I'm dragged into this whirlpool, forced to 'dance'.
The air is thick and choking, the dance rhythm relentless and unyielding — but oh, how much I like it.
One merciful break after the first track, and then it drags me further.
No lyrics needed. I can imagine everything, I can see it all in my mind - no escape, just fight, or/and die!
A perfect EP for raw black fans! Favorite track: Das Ende.
    Sean TPLTR thumbnail
Sean TPLTR Been a fan since their split with Hadjuk/Aantha/Sørgelig back in 2020. Simple, brutal, catchy. Favorite track: Der Berg.

  1. Those Once Mighty Fallen (split ILDJARN - HATE FOREST)
    by Osmose Productions
    featured track 00:00/00:00
    Forest Crypt Forest Crypt
    supported by
    the-cool-fox thumbnail
the-cool-fox On this split album, Ildjarn (made by Nidhogg) and Hate Forest share their Black Metal music for the person to hear the distinction of Norwegian Black Metal and Ukrainian Black Metal. But the main point I want to bring up is that even though most of Hate Forest’s discography on Osmose Productions’ Bandcamp is sadly gone due to idiotic cancel culture, this split album was spared thankfully as a middle finger gesture towards them. Hopefully someday the rest of HF albums shall return triumphantly. Favorite track: Abyss Wanderer.
    jd ))) thumbnail
jd ))) Those queers that run Bandcamp need to put the rest of Hate Forest albums back up.
    Ded AsDisco III thumbnail
Ded AsDisco III Bought this just randomly at a record shop because I was on a big Hate Forest kick and just needed something new. Wasn't disappointed. Low Fi production but doesn't sound like it was recorded on a talk boy and then the tape was eaten buy a dog. Solid riffs, great bass thats pushed in the front with the drums, everything is mixed really well. Overall, it has a real grit and an ambiance with a very aggressive tone that you would expect from either band. Start to finish is the best way to listen. Favorite track: Forest Crypt.
    thomasw_ thumbnail
thomasw_ Ildjarn did not write the material; the production changes & use of additional instruments & the style changes, suggest that it was Nidhogg’s work. Hate Forest make a very solid effort here, with production like the Ildjarn-half but carefully adjusted to sound distinctive. Their songs are standard BM that insert complex fills & transitions, & simplified chorus riffs. It achieves a relaxed atmosphere in which the focal point is the interruption, like a sunny sky with an intriguing cloud cluster.

  2. Tak for alt (live acoustic) [feat. Halvcirkel]
    by AFSKY
    Track 00:00/00:00
    supported by
    bmurator thumbnail
bmurator Danish Black Metal. One more one man, Ole Pedersen Luk, project. This is a very deeply emotional track. When I listen to the normal version, some of the emotions get washed away with the instrumentation - spectacular though it is. Not so here! This is in a sense more powerful than the original with a much more subtle power. The emotions expressed really get overwhelming! I cannot stop listening to it! Extremely highly recommended!!!

  4. De Doden van't Waterkant
    by Friisk

    David Fischer thumbnail
David Fischer Atmospheric black metal from East Frisia, featuring Frisian lyrics and a gorgeous cover artwork. De Doden van't Waterkant ('the dead from the coast') heavily reminds me of Bavarians Vehemenz - not that the music sounds strikingly similar, yet the intensity reaches that same level and is simply outstanding. Friisk obviously know their craft and roots; the musicians have been playing together for years in Friesenblut, and it shows. A phenomenal debut, and a harbinger of the ingenuity to follow! Favorite track: Kein Heiland.
    Kahl Mags thumbnail
Kahl Mags Das Album läuft seit Release hoch und runter, ich liebs Favorite track: Kein Heiland.
    hatbanger_ollie thumbnail
hatbanger_ollie One of the better atmoblack debut EP's of the past 5 years. This promising band definitely deserves more praise and recognition because their recent first full length album also confirms their potential within the genre. Favorite track: Kein Heiland.
