helpfulbandit Incredible sounds abound in this wonderful work. Organic and primal feeling with just the right amount of electronic buzz and static. Entrancing. Favorite track: Renata.
    dag_nabbhett thumbnail
dag_nabbhett there's a vibe across all of Mr. Holden's various projects that just works for me. fantastic stuff.
    pinknoise thumbnail
pinknoise Great stuff, evocative of some mid-70s German bands and yet the titles reference the landscapes of Wales, Scotland and England. An interesting collection of moods. For me, the highlights are the wilder pieces, such as Illuminations, Gone Feral and the title track. But I wouldn’t want them without the context of the rest of the album.

encountersltd i couldn't easily find a physical copy so i bought this album of bouncy bizarro house directly! it still feels intriguing today. imagine hearing it back in '06! also i like how the album structure is mildly unhinged, heeheehee. Favorite track: 10101.
    danc303 thumbnail
    danc303 A timeless electronic classic.
    Wyatt W. de OR thumbnail
Wyatt W. de OR While the record is almost half fluff, the non-interludes and full on tracks are so incredible. Tracks evolve with ever developing layers of spliced samples, fidgeting percussion, and micro-managed grooves; It's like this album was built to be study music for people with ADHD. I was actually able to focus on math notes for the entire album length. The vinyl is really pretty and has an interesting rearranged tracklist. Favorite track: Lump.

    michael rütten thumbnail
michael rütten actually no favorite in particular, but the neverending and each moment like the first have been on heavy rotation while driving through the mighty beautiful dolomiti bellunesi. James Holden is one of a kind. Love his attitude, and his free mind. Favorite track: Each Moment Like The First.
    skorkr thumbnail
skorkr One of those things that gets stuck in your head and doesn't want to leave. I still don't know what it's doing to me Favorite track: Each Moment Like The First.
    Pearse James thumbnail
Pearse James Extraordinary sounds. Throbbing live energy with tribal, almost spiritual, rhythmic structures. Takes me to joyous places. Favorite track: Spinning Dance.
    Jakub Fiala thumbnail
Jakub Fiala This cosmic journey is arguably the most important album I've heard in the past years. After so many replays, I still cannot wrap my head around the deep, almost shamanic energy these musicians brought to be. It has been my companion on night-time flights, endless train journeys, acid trips, and much more - and it keeps drawing me back. Favorite track: Spinning Dance.

The Green Kingdom What a masterful work. Tom is so good at seamlessly blending the acoustic and electronic into his wonderfully textural and melodic soundworlds. Favorite track: Circle Fifth.

In.Visible.Generator Everybody out there who is familar with the work of William Ryan Fritch should give this masterpiece a listen. The earthly natural and organic sound isn´t from this world.

TechnoWolf I'm so glad that I've stumbled across this album. As an outdoors-man, I think it's absolutely gorgeous because it's nature speaking over time in so many ways. Fantastic work documenting this so that we can all enjoy it.

    Terrence Falconer thumbnail
Terrence Falconer This is quite unique. Initially I was intimidated by it upon discovering it in December, but previous week I listened to it to a great result. It's long since I enjoyed such experimental music. This year I came back to it probably after... 2019? As far as I remember. It's a pleasure to listen to freeform music as it allows for a nice background listen while working Favorite track: Stops Pretty Places.
    Brent Davis thumbnail
Brent Davis So glad one of Bandcamp's "Best of 2025" lists turned me onto Battle Elf / 10:

Sinister psych soundscapes meet deconstructed rock - fantastic!

    (All tracks are my favourite.)
