    The Laughing Stock thumbnail
The Laughing Stock An album that's been with me through many rough nights. An essential for anybody who loves ambient or just getting into it. Favorite track: Melancholia VI.
    belinda guerriero thumbnail
belinda guerriero Listening is always very subjective, but I don't think this work by Basinski can be defined as music to listen to before falling asleep. In my case, it's music for long vigils, perhaps suspended in the night. Thinking about Albrecht Dürer. It's impossible for me to choose just one track.
    crude ;P thumbnail
crude ;P without a doubt, this has to be one of my few favorite basinski releases. such a saddening, blissful and unique album. 8.7/10. Favorite track: Melancholia XI.

    Roland thumbnail
Roland I'm not crying, you're crying.

One of those kickstarter projects that makes me proud of being a backer. If this really is their swan song, then I couldn't have asked for a better farewell. Every single song is a bittersweet opus pulling at the heartstrings a little differently.

As sad as I am that I never had the privilege of seeing them live I still consider myself lucky for living on the timeline that gave us MBD. Favorite track: Black Velvet Cloak.
    aaroncsimon thumbnail
aaroncsimon There's truly a Murder By Death album for every mood.

I've listened to this band since at least 2007 and have tried to see them live at every opportunity. I can honestly say that they've been a key part of the soundtrack of my life since a friend introduced me to them and seeing them end the band is incredibly bittersweet. Their records will remain in heavy rotation but damn is it a bummer that I won't see anything new by em. Favorite track: If.

Carsten Pieper Gothic Americana with many influences. And a fantastic live band - go see them if you get the chance!
Note: If you like Murder by Death for Adam Turla's deep voice, you should probably buy a more recent release. This is the band's debut where he sings in a higher register... Favorite track: Those Who Left.
