Saffron Robe I’m five years late to the party, but better late than never! All the praise for this album is richly deserved. Although I’ve always (slightly) preferred Wino’s vocals, Scott does a masterful job here and there’s just something very special (nostalgic?) about the whole album. Although “Born Too Late” is almost untouchable, this album comes a very close second, I enjoy it that much. Favorite track: Hour Glass.
    Storm thumbnail
Storm I must say this is a great cd!! So many great tracks are on it! Last Breath, A prelude to…, Wormhole, and the killer favorite of mine is 12 Years in a Tomb! Excellent guitar work on this cd. Perfect production the doom is full of gloom!! Scott really delivered on his vocals too! Buy this!! Favorite track: 12 Years In The Tomb.

James Murphy An underrated Legend album, it's off production adds to it's out of place, in the wrong time character, Saint Vitus is the Doom Metal for lifers and the rejects .. and no album harnesses this more than this release for them. It's not Reager, it's not Wino, but it's Pure VITUS Favorite track: Children of Doom.
    Jason Sullivan thumbnail
Jason Sullivan If you can't have Scott Reagers, or Wino fronting Vitus, then Christian Linderson of Count Raven fame is not a bad replacement. I love this album... but then again I love everything I've heard from Saint Vitus! Favorite track: Children of Doom.

paul rote Read my profile. This was my old religion. I used to worship this sound.didn't hear this for 15+ years, got it because it's so excellent and I never heard the bonus tracks. They are unreal.!!! It's good to be back into music,I have much to say about God and music.but not here. Favorite track: To Breed A Soldier.

Lunar There is nothing quite like this album in its beauty, subtlety, and ability to enrapture on the first listen, or after a hundred listens. An absolute must listen for anyone who appreciates the doom metal genre. Favorite track: Demise.

DAS VILLAIN Whatever Justin Broadrick puts out with his quadrillion music projects (Note: Quadrillion is an actual number; look it up...LOL!), I'm down to listening! Of all Justin's projects, Jesu in my Top 10 because of the shoegazing meets contemporary electronic music. A release of previous cuts on splits and unreleased tracks it pushed the boundaries between dream pop, noise pop, post metal, angular techno, and blissful lo-fi distortions. Favorite track: The Stars That Hang Above You (2024 Remaster).

corbin.j Reminds me a lot of the Why Are We Not Perfect EP and even Pale Sketcher to an extent. Always up for hearing some new Jesu. Favorite track: Didn't Want To Wake Up.

Joe StGermain Jr an absolute masterpiece from beginning to end. so many bands have attempted to imitate what Justin has done with Jesu, but none of them can remotely capture the emotion he brings to every piece of music under this moniker. Favorite track: Losing Streak (Remaster).
