Kyumin The visceral hate of tracks 7- 9 mixed with the fun of tracks 1 - 6 make this a great album for most situations while also keeping the depth that comes in some slower tracks near the end. Favorite track: The Carrion Child (ft. CalamariSpider).

this album took a bit to grow on me but maaaan i really like it these days. it's pretty damn bleak at times, and there's a lot of hurt, but all throughout i feel like there are these glimmers of like, folks sticking close by eachother where it counts, which i like. maybe the circumstances will be like this for a lifetime but. it's not for nothing. you've got eachother. you gotta be there for eachother. i like it a lot.

the scary jokes are a band I've Known about but never really explored outside of very specific songs on my partner's driving playlist, but I'm glad I was given a chance to dive into at least one of their albums in full. I may edit this once I give this album another full listen, I remember feeling a little mixed the first time around, which is not uncommon for my first listens to most music.

Is Kyle Okay? I love listening to this song. It great to sleep to listen to when sad and happy. A lot of times I think of the music video that goes with it. I really love it. Favorite track: Magic Hat.

chonny jash's reinterpretation of tally hall's first album in a faithful, yet fresh and exciting new style, all the while telling a deeply personal story of his own, is something that i really do think surpasses the original. it helps that the re-interpretative style allows him room to both appreciate tracks like Banana Man for what was good about them, while still critiquing the things about them that made them age like milk. it's possibly the greatest cover album I've ever heard.

chonny jash's foray into translating gothic horror texts (and some extras) into the musical medium is a very fun time! i'm very fond of the lesbian vampire anthem that is 'a styrian rhapsody'. the framing device of the whole performance setup is quite fun too, ties everything up nicely. it's truly impressive that he could just begin rattling this all off as soon as his last album was finished.

spxdes_slxck this album got me to read the literary sources i did not yet get to, like carmilla, which is very very cool. i love all the references and they become even better when you know what they stem from

jekyll and hyde are so.... ougghgugh and i have loved that story for a very long time. i especially love how this song covers the idea that jekyll was queer and repressed about it. very very good album and i love every song on it Favorite track: The Mr. Hyde Jive.
