Urso X
If the incandescent Fire, Magic & Venom was essentially an aural talisman, aptly-titled Majestas is nothing less than a declaration of spiritual warfare. A more focused effort than the sprawling Igitur (appropriate, given its theme of disciplined self-annihilation), this swirling, ritualistic, and indelibly avant-garde record is genuinely magnificent stuff. But as Matten implied, it's also a bit of a grower, so be sure to give it time to sink its proboscis into you 🦟
